With all due respect, I don't expect many to understand this particular article completely, especially if you are NOT Saved. Frankly, I had to RE-read many portions of this article a few times to sink it into my humble, poor, old brain, even though I am a serious, studied Christian soldier! But there are some great fine points that helped me glean more knowledge so that I can share and teach others now. Not everything is soft and milky in the scriptures-- we have to dig into the meaty portions too to become well rounded, Christians, ready to defend the Faith at all times. And if we forgot something, we can always dig back and find it if we can remember some of the key scriptures. I have always posted and suggested that we pray FIRST and ask the Holy Spirit for direction. Not to show off or hog the show to get noticed or glory--- but to help others, and increase in valuable knowledge-- and grow closer to the Lord!
And I also meant to explain that each Christian blogger/ writer draws upon his/ her prior life to ways to help explain things, but we MUST always remain true to the TRUTH of the Bible, and not our own personal opinions! Just like, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, the 4 Gospels, each is worded differently, but all 4 are the truth, as the writers were borne along by HOLY SPIRIT. I am NOT infallible and am still a sinner-- but God in not finished with me on this earth either. And if you all knew how happy I am to be out of false religion and cults, chained with false hoods and traditions of men, and now into the fold of the Lord, with the firm promise that I am going to HEAVEN!! I sure hope my 3 kids can move into this favored, privileged group and have the same peace of mind and joy that I have today. I have outlined the simple procedure many times and how to pray to the Lord. But it takes humility and sincerity for sure. For that very reason, most people will enter hell-- and NOT heaven. It also takes a WILLINGNESS to CHANGE our old sinful lifestyle for the "NEW" man [person] and start acting like Jesus Christ. And how do we learn just that? JUST pick up a copy of the Bible and READ IT!
If I seem too abrasive or pushy, it's because I sense the urgency of these 'End Times' according to Bible prophecy, and the daily news of what's happening to the earth and mankind. It's very plain as day for any one who can compare now with 30 years ago, or someone who knows the Bible well.
When heavy drinking, partying and drunkenness is the norm on Labor Day, with too much blood on the highways, and domestic fights, this is the time to be sober and read the Book. And YES, I USED TO RUN WITH THE HERD, but now I am a different man now, and happy/ thankful for it.
