Another Good Day.

Tom's Journal. http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/ tschuckman@aol.com

Enough 'DeepThinking' for a while, and I've decided to take a turn and a different tack, so as to get away from  all the recent negativity up North.   I asked my g/f if I should return to my own humble hovel for a few months, and she pretty much begged me to stay with her, and indeed, we both love each other so much, but I was more concerned with stilling all the wagging tongues up here, etc.   I think it's best if I just took a break for a time-- trying to teach the ignorant some of the 'deeper thinking' but they don't have the basic foundation to reason from... in other words, they are "Bible Illiterate" .. sorry [no insult or hurt intended], but the vast majority of the world in in that bucket list too.   I was super ignorant too when I was younger and thought I 'knew it all' .. lol.  Jehovah, the Father, in heaven had to 'break my back' to humble me a few times-- once in 1994-95, and then some horrible life threatening accidents, including breaking my neck [C1 and C2, in 1997], and many more... and get MY attention, so if it looks like I am pointing fingers or trying to hurt/ insult someone-- they are dead wrong.  In fact, I would like it very much if we could all get along and foster a spirit of love and trust!  But as we were reading and re-reading the book of Matthew, Chapter 10, we realized that being  a Christian soldier really involves making hard choices in life... that many times hurt and pain us.  Like, Matthew 10: 37 and 38... "He that loves his father or mother is not worthy of me [Jesus' own words]:  he that loves son or daughter more than me, is not worthy of me.  38. And he that takes not his cross, and follow after me, is not worthy of me."  But please, dear friends, read the entire chapter, or better still, read the whole Book of Matthew [one of my personal favorites!], to get the true flavor!  You won't be sorry.  And if you pray BEFORE you start reading/ studying,  the Holy
Spirit will help you big time...IF YOU REALLY ARE SINCERE, and have the right motive in your heart.   So Sorry that I feel the need to repeat this strong message, my older, more mature friends, who also write a Christian based Blog, etc.

Friends,  If we knew that the place we worked was shutting down or even tearing down the place of work-- what would we do?  Would we party hardy, celebrate, throw a big expensive party for all of our friends??   Or would we 'hunker down' save money, buy a more rice and beans, and store a few more gallons of gasoline and  pieces of silver bullion?   It seems to me that many of my combat Veteran friends tend to lean toward the 'survivor types' having their own generator, a hunting shotgun, and water distiller.  Well, heck, just look what is happening across the Mid-West these past few days with all the death and mayhem-- from twisters/ tornadoes!  Wow!  And is it a coincidence how the timing was such that the Prime Minister of Israel had to fly over here again and receive more verbal abuse and insults-- if not dire threats from our own 'President Obama ?'  You be the judge, please.  Just read the 'Abrahamic Covenant' at Genesis 12:3.  Anyone who curses or hurts Israel or tries to take away, buys of sells any of that God-given land-- WILL SUFFER A CURSE!  These are dangerous times,  dear friends... so ought we place our attentions and endeavors to doing the Lord's work instead of hurting people and sticking our noses in others' business?  And that is a 'general statement' and not meant to stab anyone in particular.

My girl friend and I derive a lot of personal pleasure reading, studying the Scriptures and seeing the prophecies come alive even as we speak, eat,  work and play.  When God is included in any relationship, things just get better!  That is one reason why all my real friends are so happy for me lately-- for my success, victories, well being, blessings and progress.   And they ask me to pray for them now days too, which I do.

Don't worry, there will be tragedies in our lives a plenty, but when we have a modest spurt of  success and victory-- we celebrate and give thanks.   Why is it that real Christians always seem to be happy, even in the midst of adversities and attack?  I used to envie other folks who had happiness as a constant in their family lives... but now I know the reason why, and have set my sails to the 'beautiful Islands' where all the good things and real treasures are stored-- Heaven!

My dog is howling outside, so I need to get going and take care of business today. God Bless all Believers and give them Victory too!

Warm Regards,
Tommy Schuckman

Catholics cannot sit on the sidelines by Paul Kokoski

Hamilton, Ontario, Canada

Article taken fr om Western New York Catholic - March 2012

President Barack Obama's HHS mandate, which forces Catholic institutions to provide their employees with free contraceptives, sterilization and aborificients, is a sinister ploy designed to drive a deep wedge between liberal and orthodox Catholics. he's hoping that liberal Catholics, in the mold of Nancy Pelosi, Kathleen Sebelius and Sister Carol Keehan, will further ditch the Church and follow him in his bid to get re-elected to the White House. It's a simple case of divide and conquer.

Four years ago Obama campaigned for the "audacity of hope" appearing as an "angel of light." Since becoming president he has militantly and forcefully fought to establish and entrench in the minds, hearts, souls and behavior of Americans, the dark evils of abortion, sterilization, homosexuality, contraception and embryonic stem cell research. he has gone so far as to promote these atrocities in other nations.

Now that his mask is off, Americans can no longer sit on the sidelines and allow themselves to be ruled by a president drunk with power. They must engage Obama's challenge. They must take up the good fight to ensure that he is not given another term in which to destroy the very soul of America with his anti-life, anti-family, anti-religious policies.

Obama especially wants to see the death of the Catholic Church because he knows the Church is the last bastion o f hope against a materialistic world that craves immorality at every step. Our Catholic bishops' prime objective now must be to convince all Catholics--especially those on the fringe who do not practice their faith--to unite together and end this reign of terror being imposed by Obama and his black sheepdogs (Pelosi, Sebelius and Keehan).

Pope John Paul Ii reminded us that "In matters of faith, compromise is in contradiction with God who is Truth" (Ut Unum Sint 18). In the Gospel of Life he further states: "In the proclamation of this Gospel, we must not fear hostility or unpopularity, and we must refuse an compromise or ambiguity which might conform us to the world's way of thinking."
