Friends,
I think and hope that I finally got my 'Mo-Jo' back, to where I am happy enough with my personal situation, in view of the fact that [I always thought] I seem to thrive in adversity... I mean major disasters in world events. This time is seems to be the Ebola out break that might be coming our way. Like I always say, 'It's not that God personally TESTS US.. and just like the beautiful book of Job, God "ALLOWED" Satan to test Job ! Not God himself. Please! There is a big difference here!! We have to understand this fine point, brothers. The question is: HOW do we react to things ?? Here is the scenario: If we are standing at the base of a huge hill or mountain, and a big rock is rolling our way, what will we do? Some macho men would just throw a Kung Fu punch at it and crack it in two! Another guy would simply step aside at the last moment and let it go! In other words, I have MY ways, and YOU have your ways.
Now, many good, smart people have already figured out that the KJV Bible has all the info and resources that mankind needs to live by, succeed, grow, prosper, and get ready for heaven when it's time. I stand with that Christian World View. The fine books of Psalms and Proverbs have been my "Body Armor" and Sword, dear friends. In other words, It Works ! But in order to make this formula or equation work, we needs a few things from the get go... Humility. We must admit that we are imperfect, sinful Humans who NEED God as our eternal Father, and His Word, the Bible. 2. We need the HS [Holy Spirit] that enables us to understand the Good Book. 3. We need the stamina and Will to be Pro-active enough to "eat the spiritual food Daily." And it's always nice to meet regularly with other mature, well studied Christians to incite Love, and fine Works, and worship and help each other, if there are any places like that near us.
I have been blessed to have all those things these past 30 some years, and thus have progressed to a point where I do feel Safe no matter what Satan throws in my way. I know that I prob whine too much when I ache and pain.... sorry, I am just too vocal, I guess. I also have an "Inner Circle" of smart Christian friend that I can call or email, who try to help me, but it took a few years to build that 'circle.'
I have a full plate ahead of me today, with a few doctors' appointments, and the dentist, and the "Would Specialist," etc. And I know already that at the end of the day, I will be stressed out from trying {Yes -- TRYING} to deal with the VA system, in Iron Mountain, MI.... but other VAMC's are just as frustrating... sorry, again. I get the same upset, nervous stomach when I used to fly into battle, with our old Helicopter outfit in Vietnam.... like you have to be on 'Full Alert' in case something flies up into your face !!! Unfortunately, it's been that way for me ever since I first walking into the Milwaukee VAMC in 1970 !! They don't even treat us like humans, IMHO, and I am seriously thinking of making some change.... soon ! You see! There I go again, crying about my own troubles --- that might never be "fixed" in THIS SYSTEM OF THINGS... ON EARTH. But folks like me have a special hope and Trust, in Jesus Christ. I HOPE YOU ALL DO, TOO.
Warm Regards,
Tom
Please pray hard for a special friend of mine, "George, the Aviator" who lives in Louisiana, who recently had MORE knee surgery about 2 days ago, and is in too much pain. Thank you, friends.
