'All Lives Matter.' --Hal Lindsey.

Tom's Journal. http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/ tschuckman@aol.com Hi Friends, This is the kind of stuff that I 'cut my teeth' with when I first started studying the Bible, shortly after I got home from Vietnam in 1970. I have come a long way since then. Too bad that I had to learn things the hard way -- but Father God knew my heart had a lot of 'weeding' to do, just like a new, young recruit going thru Basic Training at Fort Campbell, KY., back in 1967. Only our Father in Heaven can see a "diamond in the rough." Perhaps I was to selfish and proud at that time to find the correct teaching medium to learn from. Hoever, I often thank God for saving me from even more stupidity that could have done me in... killed me. The great article that Hal Lindsey penned below is peppered with vital cited Scriptures to PROVE everything he says... just as I try to do. I suppose that 99% of my readers will never llok those verses up in the Bible, and that is why I sometimes 'paraphrase' them and reason on them... for you all. No insult intended, friends. I was the same way in the beginning -- but now I love and appreciate the Lord so much more, after so many brushes with death... AFTER Vietnam ! Winter is surely here in the U.P. where we live, and we even have the heat turned on. I am so sorry to see the Summer go, and I sat out in the sun so many times and just THOUGHT about life, and my old friends so much outside in our tiny piece of Paradise near Iron Mountain, MI. right across the Wisconsin Northern border. Warm Regards, Tom Schuckman September 30th, 2020 Lives Matter By Hal Lindsey "Black Lives Matter" is a statement of fact. I have a problem with the primary organization that carries that name. It is a communist-led group bent on the destruction of many of the human institutions God ordained for our protection - such as police and family. But the idea that "black lives matter" is rooted in scripture. Genesis 1:27 says that human beings are made in the image of God. "God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them." The Bible teaches that every person from every race comes from Adam and Eve. Acts 17:26 says, "He has made from one blood every nation of men." Jesus said that human beings matter so much that God knows how many hairs we have on our heads. He said that God pays attention to even minor details of our lives. In Matthew 12:36, Jesus said, "For every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment." But we can thank God that we are not stuck under judgment. John 1 tells us that Christ is the Second Person of the Godhead. And our lives matter enough that He died for us - taking our judgment on Himself. Romans 5:8 says, "God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Philippians 2:6-8 says, "Who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross." God the Son did all that for every person on the face of the earth. Yes, black lives matter, and yes, all lives matter. We matter to God! And we matter even while still in the womb. Psalms 139:13-15 says, "You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother's womb. I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret." At the moment of conception, your body consisted of a single cell. And that cell carried the genetic code that all the cells in your body still carry to this day. You were not an appendage of your mother. From the very beginning, you were unique from her and every other living thing that had ever been made or ever would be made. Some say that while in the womb, the person is not yet fully human. If you don't think the fetus is human, then ask yourself this. What species is she? When we talk about abortion, I'm always aware of those who have had abortions. I'm not trying to make anyone feel guilty. If you are in Christ, He has freed you of guilt. And if you are not, He waits for you with open arms. If you are His, He has forgiven you. So, follow His lead and forgive yourself. But this topic remains huge. With a presidential election looming and a battle over a Supreme Court vacancy, we should not forget abortion, and what it means. Black lives matter. They matter from the moment of conception. Your life matters. It matters now and mattered while you were still in the womb.
