Dear Friend of Liberty and Freedom,

The link below was sent to us by a missionary friend, and the
presentation constitutes one of the best capsulized summaries of
government forms which I have seen in a long time. Many Americans are
ignorant of their own government, having been duped into believing that
The Founding Fathers intended that we have a democracy. WRONG! Please
take the time to view the video, and do pass the link on to other
friends.

Note: You will need to have a high-speed connection in order to
comfortably view this. If you don't have this service, send the link to
a friend who does and then invite yourself to his/her house to watch it.
The lesson is important and obvious. MARANATHA!

Brother Alan

This is about 10 min. long but a very good refresher course.
This is a great video on Governments.

This is worth watching....

Why is our republic so important to protect?
Check out this dynamic little video for a very worthwhile refresher
course.

ATTN: Mark Eisenhower--- the power of MUSIC!

Olivia Newton John & ELO - Xanadu

Hey Mark,
My dad was born ON THE FARM near Liebenthal. He taught me to play some guitar chords when I was about age 13 and I also took some accordion lessons when young. I loved music from an early age and even studied Latin to become an altar boy in Milwaukee where I lived until my parents purchased our 80 acre farm... dad thought his kids would be raised better out of the big , dirty city.. and he was right.
Finally, in my Junior year I got into a few rock bands as a r hymn guitar and harmony singer and never looked back.
What really turned me on was the power and distinction of being a crew member flying in a well oiled , highly disciplined group of aviators/ helicopter warriors who depended on one another for survival. We had PRIDE and HONOR and a camaraderie that few people could ever know! We did NOT choose the war or battle-- we just served our country not knowing what BS was coming down from all the corrupt politicians back home! From all my study of history-- that has been the case for the past 6000 years. Walt Weber still writes a snail mail letter to me every month and I call him and write back. Some other guys email me and make comments on my Blog where I champion and support all disabled Veterans --no matter where they served or how old they are. I have made a lot of friends that way! I feel that I need to "give back" and help those in need as some key people in my life had a lot to do with 'saving MY life' when I was so down and depressed after losing a good paying job at Chrysler in the early '90's, and EVERYONE but God deserted me.

The oldies music that we piped thru our radio system on ship [chopper] was so cool and invigorating , even though I am sure that it was all "filtered" by the brass for our "morale" !
I loved all of it.. but just THINK how powerful it was when we were going into combat and the order to "open up" with our guns to the tune of a great song..! So even now days that same music is a powerful "trigger" for bad or for good to many G.I.'s who served over there. It can still trigger tears from my eyes or put me in a particular mood instantly... and people around me wonder, but my close friends totally understand. Obviously, the music from the late 1960's and early 70's has got a hold on me. I like good rthymn and vocal harmony. I like good female artists and ballads. With my new electric guitar and amp., I practice with another old Vietnam Vet named Marvin Ellis, who is dying from a lung problem. He was wounded in the knee and leg over in Nam and also worked with me on the line at Chrysler-- small world. We have a lot of patriots and Vets in Wisconsin and our state is cut in half--Dems and Republicans but they voted the wrong way... lol.
Good to hear from you, Mark. I know that you are not one for writing much, but I think it's important that we touch base more often. You and I were cut out of the same cloth-- being German-American and PATRIOTS. Woo Hoo! Even if the majority of combat Veterans get the crumbs off the nation's table while the rest of cowards, crooks, welfare reciepients and illegals get all the lion's share of the 'bail outs' and entitlements...lol. Check out the new "Labor Secretary".. Pro-illegal alien!..Ha! If ever I can answer any questions about RVN, just ask. To the best of my knowledge [and we all had our little circles of close friends whom we flew with every day...], I left for home for the last time {ETS'd} 30 March 70, and I heard many years latter what went down AFTER I went to that grand 240th AHC reunion at Wright-Pat AFB IN Ohio about 7 years ago.
Take care,

Your friend,
Tom

Cold War vets sue over alleged experiments

By Paul Elias - The Associated Press
Posted : Wednesday Jan 7, 2009 22:25:31 EST
http://www.airforcetimes.com/news/2009/01/ap_veterans_germs_lawsuit_010709/

SAN FRANCISCO — Six veterans who say they were exposed to dangerous chemicals, germs and mind-altering drugs during Cold War-era experiments filed a federal lawsuit against the CIA, Department of Defense and other agencies Wednesday.

The veterans say they volunteered for military experiments as part of a wide-ranging program started in the 1950s to test nerve agents, biological weapons and mind-control techniques, but were not properly informed of the nature of the experiments.

They blame the experiments for poor health and are demanding the government provide their health care. They also want the court to rule that the program was illegal because its administrators failed to get their consent.

Marie Harf, a CIA spokeswoman, declined to comment on the lawsuit, which seeks class action status on behalf of all participants allegedly exposed to harmful experiments without their knowledge. Vietnam Veterans of America, a veterans advocacy group, is also a plaintiff.

The suit, filed in San Francisco, alleges that at least 7,800 U.S. military personnel served as volunteers to test experimental drugs such as LSD at the Edgewood Arsenal near Baltimore, Md., during a program that lasted into the 1970s, and that many others volunteered for similar experiments at other locations.

“In virtually all cases, troops served in the same capacity as laboratory rats or guinea pigs,” the lawsuit states.

The suit contends that veterans were wrongfully used as test subjects in experiments such as MK-ULTRA, a CIA project from the 1950s and ‘60s that involved brainwashing and administering experimental drugs like LSD to unsuspecting individuals. The project was the target of several congressional inquiries in the 1970s and was tied to at least one death.

Harf said that MK-ULTRA “was thoroughly investigated and the CIA fully cooperated with each of the investigations.”

The plaintiffs say many of the volunteers’ records have been destroyed or remain sealed as top secret documents. They also say they were denied medals and other citations they were promised for participating in the experiments.

They are not seeking monetary damages but have demanded access to health care for veterans they say were turned away at Department of Veterans Affairs facilities because they could not prove their ailments were related to their military service.

In 1988, the Justice Department agreed to pay eight Canadians a total of $750,000 to settle their lawsuit alleging they suffered psychological trauma from CIA-financed mind-control experiments that included the use of LSD.

Big snow a-commin' [sic] from the West today-- and then what we call the "one-two punch" deep freeze below zero temps and high winds! Woo Woo! Some of us upper mid-Westerners use a special 'mindset' to cope with adverse things [and it works]. I learned it years ago and it's called IMAGERY. A Ph., D taught it to me [that is code for post hole digger...lol]. It's when you find a private, quiet space and stretch out for your 15-30 minute break. Then you empty your mind of all the hectic stressful BS and concentrate on a most favorite memory and jump into to it! Special deep breathing is another technique you must learn.

Yet for me, I feel that my most reliable remedy is always the Bible, and what a special power it has to shake things up! Hebrews 4:12 says, "For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing far as the division of soul and spirit, of both the joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart." [13.] "And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do." ~NASB. And like I've posted many times before, 'only the meek, humble, honest people who have the Holy Spirit can truly understand the scriptures, IMHO.

The problem that most people have is: they only seek the Lord Jesus Christ when they are IN TROUBLE! God wants our worship and love--but we are 'free moral agents'--not robots, and we have the CHOICE to serve God or the world of Satan. There IS NO MIDDLE GROUND! I just don't consider myself a "Saint" no matter what the preacher/ pastor tells us at church... but I know that I am SAVED by the blood of Jesus and have accepted Him as my personal Savior and know because of that fact that I am going to heaven. Go figure: even the so-called "Saints" are sinners [and my mom just can't come to grips with that fact...], see Romans 3:23 : "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." In college I learned that sometimes I had to 're-read' somethings MANY times to tamp it into my brain, like the 'Print Reading for Welders' that I had a problem with... But regarding the Bible-- we have a special "tutor"/ Helper, called the Holy Spirit which helps us understand the scriptures! Best to pray for Him to come into our hearts and minds BEFORE we start reading and studying-- and then eliminate all other distractions from our 'study area.' I am just giving you tips that have helped me.

God HAS TO BE OUR 'FIRST LOVE' and only He has the power to allow us into HEAVEN for all eternity. Even as we love other humans to death with deep bonds of emotions-- we have to draw the line and make a conscious decision to acknowledge who 'butters our bread' and who has the power to kill the body AND THE SOUL. We are all "slaves/ servants" to someone or something in some capacity one way or another-- weather it be to our own bodies, drugs, sex, humans, material things...etc. But understand how short sighted and myopic [narrow minded] that mind set is-- when we think of all eternity. And that could be upon us in a heart beat!! Just walking down the streets of some American cities now days could get you killed... like the Democratic run Chicago...lol! They can't blame the Republicans now... Ha! Some funky drunk-y driver could take our life on the highway out of the blue and POOF, we are facing eternity ! At that time everyone will be a "believer" -- but we will not be able to 'change' / switch over quick to God's side then. And it's NOT about doing good deeds that will save us! Many churches still teach that lie! We can NEVER do anything to buy or earn our way into SALVATION and Grace-- which is a free gift that cannot be "earned."

OK, enough for today-- and I bid all my friends and readers a great, peaceful, safe day. Sharon's poor back is hurting after she went outside to shovel the snowy part around the mail box before I could. I promised to rub some special pain ointment on her back and take care of her the rest of the day. What are husbands for??? It's so nice to have everything you need to live stored up in your own house when there is a snow storm and the roads are slippery/ slick and dangerous. That is part of MY American dream. I figure that we will look back on THESE days with envy a year or two from now when things go South...and that will be Humpty Dumpty time for the world. Just my personal opinion.. and I hope I am wrong.

TheBigKite.wmv --video ***

Dear Mark,
When I originally started my very own blog/ Journal a few years ago [Old Soldier Tom's Journal] -- now 'Tom's Journal' http.//tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com , I listed the "mission/ objective" right from the start and my goal [s]. First and fore most I wanted to share my blessed hope and trust in the salvation and promises of the Lord Jesus Christ and reach out to anyone and everyone who has interest in that subject. We all know that some will love it and some will spit on it-- and that's OK. I serve only as a 'mouth piece' for the Lord and His Word- the Bible. [2]. I wanted to reach out and connect to/ with as many Combat Veterans of any war and age to help them understand how to 'deal with' the corrupt VA system that seeks to ignore and screw them and their families until they are dead! This is NOT a figment of my imagination! This is the real world of reality that constantly gets thrust into my face, personally, and for the vast majority of those who talk, email and contact me --plus well documented news articles and Veteran Orgs. research and gov't documents. Looking back at the past 30 years of my personal dealings and knowledge with the VA-- 98% of it has been an up hill battle and very frustrating-- and others I've talked to have it much worse--many are now dead! The Congress and past Administrations have proved that they don't give a rat's ass about the Veterans! Sorry...they just want 'us' to dry up and blow away, and guess what?!-- the new, young disabled Veterans are now getting the same old treatment that WE did!! If we don't band together like brothers and help ourselves the Govt and VA will push us into obscurity and neglect their contractual promises made to us! Now finally, the true exposes, facts and cover ups are being laid bare for the public to see and examine-- AFTER so many good men and women have died of neglect and service-connected injuries and being disenfranchised and dumped on, lied about.
If I have any 'gifts' or where with all-- I would be a coward and a sinner NOT to print/ publish these timely subjects! That's my story-- and I am sticking to it. I figure that with all the trash and lies on the "News Media" these days, I have also earned the RIGHT to speak my piece too as I see it.
Thank you for your personal view point, observations and comments. As always, I respect you and your beliefs and mind sets even if I don't always agree with them, old friend.

Subject: Re: Vietnam

Mark Eisenhower talks about our two families [plus thousands more] that came and settled legally in America in the [S.W. part of] Hays, Kansas area in the mid-1800's as basically wheat farmers, who escaped the racial and religious persecution of the old mother country in Europe. Mark and his siblings attended the same schools in Kansas that my first cousins did--so we have a kindred spirit or sorts. We are called, "Volga-Germans", but we've completely assimilated into patriotic Americans and many fought in America's wars. Mark's dear, beloved brother, Jim, was killed in Vietnam with the same combat Aviation Hel. outfit [ the 240th AHC-BearCat, RVN] that I was in. He was a brave helicopter pilot that paid the ultimate price at too young an age, and many morn his loss.

By now you have received the link I forwarded to you.Look at the names. They were settlers hard and determined to make a life of a patch of ground never before settled out in the middle of no where. You are of the same cloth as these people. They were humble ,God fearing, hard working, contributing to the society that depended on the efforts of all instead of just one.I know you are proud of your heritage and the values instilled in you by those who have gone before us.
Your experience in Vietnam shaped who you became but who you were was already determined by those who walked this way before us.The combination of the two is the sum total of the person who learns from the experiences.A door-gunner was a power to reckon with and was a life saver for himself and others on the aircraft. That is a challenge to put before a young American. You rose to the challenge and survived to talk about it.In part you are the product of that experience, but it is history.I am always careful when I speak to those with combat experience. Why should I expect them to dredge up memories of combat when I know the memories must haunt them. For those who have helped me in my search for facts about 18 Aug 68 I am very grateful for the unpleasant return to the horrors of war.I understand his point. He will talk of these experiences to those who like him have lived it.My curiosity was motivated by a need to know. Not everyone needs to know or for that matter even want to know.I succeed in my chosen profession because I listen to what people say and what they don't say is just as important.I am older now and am looked to for help at a very difficult time in the lives of people. It took me awhile but eventually I came to the reality that I had no clue how this bereaved family accross the table from me felt. This is death,it effects everyone in a different way. Some make the transition from grief to acceptance.Others will deny a reality and continue to search for those who were lost. When I said Jim was killed in Vietnam the first time I began to heal.I still miss him and wish he could experience his two GrandSons.I was forced to put that reality in a place where I could recall it's influence at any time.Door-Gunner is a reality in many ways. Not all of them are pretty pictures.Sure you can share that with those who might because with you they share a similar phase in the lives. It is like "been there ...done that.....bought the T-shirt ......and now I use it for a grease rag.You can say that! But,God help the poor sucker who says this with no knowledge of the impact it had on you lfe and others like you.Not everyone would do what you did! Not everyone wants to be reminded! And,you will carry the memory for the rest of your life.It is your memory and for some it is an ugly reality that they are better of not knowing. For you it was a life-changing experience and who you are today may in part may be a result of the experience.Vietnam did not shape the whole man but had a part in it.Your heritage gave you the tools to indure and keep on keepin on.You have found a source of strength that overshadows all you have done before.Find strength in who you are today, tomorrow and in the days to come for you are a child of God. Not a door-gunner..........
Share it with those who need a witness for the Glory of the Lord......
*****************************************************************************
And from Carolyn:

I don't know Tom- but I would guess every one who was there has a different way of dealing with things. Nothing wrong with talking about it- it helps those of us who weren't there, or too young to know, just a bit of what you all saw and did. Maybe some, actually, I know many who don't talk- WW2 vets and Korean vets as well, who don't talk about things, as for being traumatized etc. But I've always been a firm believer in the more you talk- the more healing it is. Just be you Tom- and if you talk- keep at it. You help so many people with your blog, and when you use your Viet Nam "status" on your comments, well, it may bring someone to read your blog and be helped and blessed. You never know! God Bless!

Chicago... my kind o' town!

Papa B, a native Chicagoan, sent this one in

Chicago....

Who Runs it?
Senators: Barack Obama & Dick Durbin
Representative: Jesse Jackson, Jr.
Illinois Governor: Rod Blogojevich (arrested)
Illinois House leader: Mike Madigan
Illinois Attorney General: Lisa Madigan (daughter of Mike)
Chicago Mayor: Richard M. Daley (son of Mayor Richard J. Daley)
The leadership in Illinois? All Democrats.

Thank you for the combat zone in Chicago.

Body count in the last six months: 292 killed (murdered) in Chicago -- more souls lost than in Iraq.

State pension fund - $44 Billion in debt, worst in the country.

Cook County (Chicago ) sales tax - 10.25% highest in country (Look it up).

Chicago school system - rated one of the worst in the country and Obama just named the Arne Duncan, Superintendent of Chicago Public Schools as his Secretary of Education. Only 17% of 8th graders under his command read at grade level. That means 83% of Chicago aged students are reading below grade level. Over 60% are reading four or more grade levels below.

Of course, they're all blaming each other. They can't blame Republicans because there aren't any.

Change!

I didn't bother checking Snopes because I don't care.

KANSAS - DUST IN THE WIND

Special Report: RACE TO THE FINISH LINE: WHEN WILL THE GOVERNMENT KILL THE LAST VIETNAM VETERAN?

The roads were icy and slippery again today as I drove my Ram 4 by 4 to the Milwaukee VA Hospital for another 90 day round of injections in both knees. The man Mike Ryan, NP always does a great job of sticking me. Sure there is a little pain as he 'goes into my inner knee' with the beautiful needle, but after there is instant relief but temporary relief for the next 2 and 1/2 months. 'Swarthy Venita'- VA nurse, tried to re-schedule me back 3-4 weeks longer than my legally, acceptable 90 days for the much needed shots, but I protested loud and clear and threatened to contact the 'Veterans' Advocate' --and she "found me a place' for the day after, today. Heck! It only takes a full 10 minutes to squirt me and they can squeeze me in easily because I am brave and take the shots right away! Whoop-de-doo! Hard to find a place to park at the VA with all their BS and lack of snow removal... but what's new...? The disabled Vets ALWAYS get the crumbs off the table in the USA. Other than that-- it was a good day, and Sharon made me 2 great Lamb sandwiches for lunch--easy on my tired, sore stomach, these days.
Then she had to go to the cardiologist/ Hospital for more tests at 2 PM. They say that she now has a thin heart wall, and a faulty valve that needs to be fixed. Sharon is nervous and upset. With all her faults and charging up secret credit cards behind my back, I still feel sorry for her and I still love her dearly. [I know that we all have our faults...] We are ALL going to die, and she was physically messed up long before I met her. I am glad that I have some good Insurance that will pay for most everything she needs. I take my marriage vows seriously and want this relationship to work out. But even death can not separate us from God's eternal love-- and Christians need to study, read and understand that fact... and tell others!! If we fail to do this out of cowardice, we will have to answer for the blood of the fallen, unbelieving people we were afraid to preach to !
I normally take a few inexpensive paper backed bibles with me to the VA so that I can hand them out to people who want one, or leave them on a reading/ magazine holder for others. I found a bible tract one time at Chrysler back in 1995 that helped steer me to a good, bible teaching church that helped me learn more and mature in Christ! So I know about the power of the written Word and tracts.

Now, if I can only make it to the Kenosha YMCA Gym for a good work out tomorrow before another appointment. And that is the 'retired life.'
