I suppose that many of us have 'speculated' too much at one time or another, or put too much emphasis on one small aspect or subject.  It is what it is.

One important saying or  proverb we ought to all memorize is:   "The golden rule of interpretation says when the plain sense of a passage/ or scripture makes common sense,  seek no other sense."   The problems start to happen when false prophets or over zealous friends try to weave in some special, secret, mystery or mathematical formula to contort and twist the passage to 'prove' their own private view, or agenda.....  like the fallacy of the JW-cult/ org./ WatchTower people, where I WASTED 22 GOOD YEARS OF MY LIFE !!!   I could have done many other constructive things in my life, even though I feel that I have accomplished a lot anyway.    At least, I am in the Lord's service and Saved now,  a minor miracle in itself !  I owe a few special people gratitude for guiding me toward that final goal, like Mary Ellen Hintz, and Captain Robb Bohnen, S.F., etc.  Steve Brulport gave me some great advice a long ago too.   Let's never forget the Holy Spirit, please. 

Now days, I am easing off putting too much attention on the Rapture...  because I want people to understand that all of us Christians are in this present fight for the LONG HAUL, no matter what comes down the pike, or how long we must wait for all of God's promises to come true.  And that usually shuts down the wagging tongues of opposition, and non-Believers, and scoffers.  
      Another 'golden rule' is:  "Pick your battles well."  Why get side tracked on small, unimportant issues??   Let others have their own way, but draw the line when it comes down to the bare TRUTH of the IMPORTANT dogmas, like:  SALVATION,  GRACE,  heaven and hell, etc.   I tell folks to just look in the back pages of the wonderful DEFINED KJV Bible, to find the 'meat and potatoes' facts of just where all the modern bible versions came from, and why it's best to finally learn to use the KJV, for serious students.   But far be it for me to bluntly state that the ONLY bible that people ought ever to read is the KJV.   That could prove to be a stumbling block, and why lose the war-- for putting so much value on bible version, when in fact, maturity will finally draw a serious student to stronger 'medicine  ??'  

Finally,  the date, December 7th has a special place in my heart because my father was a WW-2 survivor, and also got hurt on Saipan in the South Pacific at that time --U.S. Navy.    I get a bang out of watching a few old time movies about that era, compared to all the lies of our occupant of the WH churns out almost daily...   And there are a good bunch of combat Veterans in various places that I hang out at, on-line, "who speak my language."   I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but I can carry my own weight, with military and history talk. 

Sorry to say,  I am already getting bummed out with the cold Winter, and my personal challenges with mobility and losing weight....  grrrrrr!   I don't want to be a sour puss, or sour grapes.  If only I had a few old military/  Christian buddies that I could hang out with who were retired like I am, and we could play Chess, and talk about the Bible, etc., or go out for lunch sometimes.   And I have a free pass at the local work out Gym in town, but the long walks total me out, so I am lifting some dumb bells at home, at least.  

OK, time to visit my F/ B friends and check out a few more emails.

How Will The Rapture Happen?

Q. I have another question regarding the Rapture. The most popular opinion is that at the Rapture, all the believers will be “vanished into thin air”, leaving behind their clothes and accessories.
I have no problem with this opinion. However, the Bible doesn’t explicitly state this; in fact, I find the verse in 1 Cor. 15:52 only says that “we will be changed in a twinkling of an eye”, nothing about disappearing. What is your view about this? How do you think the Rapture will happen?

A. You are right in saying that people have different opinions on how the rapture will happen, but that’s what they are, opinions. The three clearest verses in the Bible concerning the rapture are John 14:2-3, 1 Cor. 15:51-53 and 1 Thes. 4:16-17. In John 14:2-3 the Lord said He was going to His father’s house to prepare a place for us, and one day He would come for us to take us there. 1 Cor. 15: 51-53 says we will be changed from mortal to immortal in the twinkling of an eye, in other words, instantaneously. 1 Thes, 4:16-17 says we will meet the Lord in the air and go to be with Him forever.
The golden rule of interpretation says when the plain sense of a passage makes common sense, seek no other sense. The plain sense of these passages is that we’ll be changed in an instant and meet the Lord in the air to always be with Him in His Father’s house. To me that says we’ll vanish from Earth. Anything beyond that is human speculation.

I hope this turns out so you all can download it properly.   A friend sent this stuff to me, and I had problems believing it... until lately.  One thing that did strike me is:   The devil has got most of us, even Christians so busy worrying about making ends meet and surviving the hard times, Prepping--to a certain extent, etc., that we are losing sight of the BIG PICTURE!!  That God does have a 'time table' and everything is on schedule.... HIS schedule, not ours !   Even the recent cold weather snap in the USA... as Sec. of State John, the boy, Kerry, is trying to carve up Israel to give to the PLO, the terrorists, the bad guys.   And that old covenant/ solid gold promise in Genesis 12:3 is so real !!!  obama and his idiots don't know what they are messing with....testing the mighty power of Father God!  

Just who do you think it running the show on earth ??  "But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:   In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them."   ~ 2nd Corinthians 4: 3-4.   YES!  The 'god' of this world is STD --Satan the devil !    And here is the discernment:  verse 4: 18, says,  'While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen....'  The Holy Spirit gives discernment...  but the wicked cannot tap the Spirit...Ha!    That is reserved only for Believers! 
    Our lives are like  a level...  going thru life we often get UN-balanced, and need to come back to "true level."   I am a tradesman/ welder, I would know.   When ever you set out to build something, you need 3 special tools to do a good job.   A level, a plumb bob, and a square.  Without them, your house will be a disaster.  Our Christian Believer's "Level" ought to be the Bible.   Few people MAKE time to read it, and fewer people can understand it, because they don't ask for and receive the Spirit to understand it !!

Now,  I know, and you know, that I've been beating my drum for YEARS -- about the Lord's return.  But first a series of things have to happen.   "For when they shall say,  Peace and safety;  then sudden destruction cometh upon them,....  and they shall not escape."   ~ 1st Thessalonians 5: 3.   What is Sec. John Kerry trying to do ??  One day, and perhaps soon,  all the 'News Media' and Papers will say,  "Peace and Security !"   And then war.  Alot of other things figure into the picture, but all that could come in short order...POOF !  Somewhere in between will come the Rapture, and we will have real Peace...  we Believers.   But in the mean time, we are ruled and moved by the day by day woes, pain, struggles, Socialism,  loss of freedom, etc.

Now!  For the sake of argument, friends and readers,  if all this is true [and I just proved it with the Bible], in short form, simplified,  WHAT OUGHT WE TO DO ? ? ?
Praise and worship the Lord, and go share/ spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ !   Bingo!   And don't go to heaven alone --- take someone with  you !!   Well, some of you might say that you have not been blessed with the 'tools' to reach out and preach/ teach/ share...  so just do what I have done:   WORK AT IT UNTIL YOU GET BETTER, BUT DON'T WAIT UNTIL YOU THINK YOU ARE PERFECT OR READY.   Just do it !!   Our Drill Instructors in the Army showed us that we indeed had what it takes to do the impossible, but we had to practise and hone our skills, and then jump !  The first time I ever fired an M-60 machine gun in a helicopter, was in combat !!  And then the same night, my 'teacher' showed me how to break it down in a hog trough full of solvent and clean it, every night, so it wouldn't fail in combat the next day.  People depended on me!!   Other peoples' lives were in MY hands, and I was not about to drop the ball and bare the shame and recrimination, forever, of getting my crew killed because of MY mess up!   So, it's the very same with sharing the Gospel.  You read and study the Book, and then hang around those who know the ropes, and copy them, and Jesus Christ!   Personally,  I like to use Bible tracts to help spread the Gospel to strangers, etc.  See me to find out more.

Hi Friends,
In a dismal world, in a cold, heartless, despairing season, [especially when/ if you are all alone, or homeless, as I have been, like in the harsh Winter of 1994-5, in Milwaukee, for a short time... before Chrysler finally called me back.  but I think that is what the Lord planned to "break me down and humble me... and that is when I "FOUND HIM!" ]  -- today we have some very comforting tidings, and mindset to tuck away into our ditty bag, mates!   IN FACT,  I WAS VERY BITTER FOR MANY YEARS AFTERWARD, that not one member of my family cared enough to take me in for that  very hard, cold Winter... and I was NOT  a drunken bum, but actually getting good grades in college, studying more Welding, etc., at MATC!  And that following Spring when I got called back to Chrysler at Kenosha, WI.,  I was suddenly "RESPECTABLE" again, when I had money....Ha!!   Maybe that is why I pushed so hard, worked hard, had my own side business/ Welding shop, plus Financial PFS Investments independent contractor  business, too,  going for me.    My father was Navy, and that is why I joined the Army... LOL !  I never wanted to be like him....  but ended up copying much of his 'stuff.'   Sometimes the 'apple doesn't fall very far from the tree.'   And rearing children doesn't come with a set of instructions....  and I used to tell my 3 kids, "Just wait until you have kids of your own, and see what you put me through!!"   The ultimate punishment is that kids have kids just like them!  Ha!  But... in order to really become a good Christian, I HAD TO forget my hatred and revenge, and FORGIVE all those who hurt me, when I was down and out.  So, I have come full circle, and am a better man for it, I think.  We carry the good times in our pockets -- and the bad times in our hearts.  I know that everyone has a 'hard luck story,'  but you will USUALLY hear me say how blessed I am, and that's correct.
      I just read a post of tithing as a Christian... and of course Christians are NOT under any pressure or "command" to Tithe [that means:  give one tenth of their wealth to the church].  But when we do give to a good, bible teaching church, the Lord always seems to give us much more back --in return.  So it's been that way with me, the past 15 years or more, that I've really known the Lord as my personal Savior.  [smile].   Dear Friends,  the reason I am dumping on you today is because I want you all to know that things didn't just drop out of the sky/ or were easy for me, in my life, either.  I had to study HARD to make things stick into my brain, and work hard for everything I have today.  And getting back up after many serious injuries, plus 2 years in Vietnam, some folks claim that God MUST HAVE LOVED ME VERY MUCH, to keep me alive all this time.  I am thinking/ hoping and praying that a few people read this humble blog post today, and don't feel too sorry for themselves,  that they are not the only ones who have had to fight hard to survive !!  God bless all my Believing brothers and sisters, in the Faith, in Jesus Christ ! !   
        And I also have a good friend in NH, named, Jerry B., who had a rough life too, who worked hard to achieve the top slot in his Fire Dept [Chief].... also a grunt in the Army --Vietnam [grunt,  means: Infantry].  He suffers from some  toxins that OUR Gov't dropped on Vietnam, AO, --- that seriously affected many of our own troops at that time, with lingering effects.  Please pray for him and his wife too.

The big reason that I like Hal Lindsey so much --- is that he and I agree with most everything he says!  Woo Hoo!   But Hal puts a certain 'twist' on his statements that gives them "zing!"  We CAN and SHOULD take comfort in knowing why we cannot and will not be able to live a pure, perfect, Christian life while on earth!  Only a PERFECT MAN could do such a thing.... and no man could ever keep the Mosaic Law Covenant.   It's like an alcoholic finally admitting that he simple cannot use booze in any form,  because he is "allergic" to it, and for him, it is a poison !!  Think how many family get- togethers are/ were spoiled when a member got drunk and abusive at Christmas time, etc.   When a person puts too much [or ANY] dog water in his mouth, it will make him foolish and silly.  And how about taking an innocent life with vehicular homicide.... and being locked in jail over the holidays? ?   I have never had that happen to me... PTL.   But I messed up plenty of other times and brought shame upon myself.  My fine wife told me she doesn't care if I have some beer or wine, but she doesn't like me to ever drink 'dog water' ...whiskey, and I agree with her.   Drunkenness is a serious SIN, and can quench the Holy Spirit, and inhibit our prayers to God!   Please take my word for it, and the Bible's too, dear friends.

Anyone who could KEEP the Law of Moses [and every time you see the term Law, capitalized, it means the Law God gave to Moses, at Exodus, chapter 20, that included over 300 laws -- not just the Ten Commandments, like so many uninformed 'Christians' believe.]  would LIVE FOREVER!!  But that's just the point...  no human ever could!  Except for Jesus Christ, and He died on the Cross.   So, the Law Covenant was made to MAGNIFY the sins and shortcomings of mankind, not to set them free.  It's true that the "Truth will set you free."  But really, the sacrifice of Jesus' blood on the cross set us all free  -- those of us who are humble enough to put ALL our faith in Jesus.

This week on 'The Hal Lindsey Report'

Last week, I discussed why it's important for us to understand and fully appreciate what it means to be truly secure in our salvation and relationship with God. It is reassuring to realize that we can be fully confident in the keeping power of the Holy Spirit and understand that nothing in heaven or in earth can remove us from the protective and loving hand of God.

Many Christians become discouraged over how difficult it is to live the Christian life. In his discussion of the purpose of the Law of God, the Apostle Paul points out that it is not difficult to live the Christian life -- it's impossible! He said that's one of the reasons the Law was given: to show man that he cannot measure up to God's expectations on his own. He needs God's help.

I also discussed the folly of believing that once we are saved by grace through faith, we can live an overcoming life in the power of our own self-effort. Paul said the Law was given to drive us to despair of that self-effort and lead us to ultimate dependence on the Holy Spirit.

Remember, it's impossible to live a powerful Christian life unless we are completely confident in the security of that relationship. And the good news is, we can be!

This week, I want to continue this discussion of our security in Christ. I call it "Forever Secure."

I will delve deeper into the relationship between faith and grace and faith and works. Millions of Christians completely misunderstand the role of each in the believer's life.

I will show you what Jesus said about how to truly know the will of God.

We'll also look at the concept of the "carnal Christian" and what true believers can expect at the judgment seat of Christ. Did you know that many Christians will make it to heaven smelling of smoke? Judgment smoke.

And finally, I'll share with you the good news that some of the rough times you may be facing could well be cause for joy. The Bible says that God disciplines His sons and daughters. So, if you're going through God's disciplining, don't be discouraged, be grateful, for it means you're truly His child. Conversely, if you realize that you never experience God's correction and discipline in your life, maybe it's wise to reexamine your relationship with Him -- or even consider that perhaps you don't really have a relationship.

And if that's the case, there's no better time than right now to confess your sin, ask His forgiveness, and accept the free gift of pardon Jesus purchased for you with His death on Calvary. Do that in honesty and sincerity and you, too, can be forever secure in your eternal relationship with God.

On a personal note, I am saddened by the passing earlier this week of my good friend Paul Crouch, Sr., the founder of Trinity Broadcasting Network. Paul, with his wife and co-founder Jan, resolutely pursued God's calling on his life to build a vast global television network to allow the Gospel to be heard in the far corners of the earth.

I was privileged to be part of that effort from its early stages. The miracles that Paul witnessed during the building of TBN are far too numerous to list. But God rewarded Paul's faithfulness and over the years ministers of the Gospel have been able to preach the Good News to the world through TBN's unprecedented global reach.

I thank God for Paul's life and ministry. I will miss his sense of humor and gracious heart. Most of all, I will miss his friendship.

Goodbye, my friend. You are gone but will never be forgotten.

There is a lot to remember about Mandela, but we should not forget that he was a Communist. This is just to keep you informed about the facts as you will be hearing lots of praises during the next week.

Nelson Mandela, the former president of South Africa from 1994 to 1999, has died at the age of 95.

Prior to his presidency, Mandela was incarcerated for 27 years at three different prisons after pleading guilty to 156 acts of public violence including the Johannesburg railway station bombing.

He was also a member of the South African Communist Party and a co-founder of Umkhonto we Sizwe, a guerrilla warfare group declared a terrorist organization by the United States in the 1960s.

I must  treat this subject with impartiality and fairness, however a sensitive thorn in my side, that I wrestle with often.   The Bible tells me just what the future will be for US Christians in the world, and I side with the camp that says America is not ever mentioned in the Bible !!  Some of my dear friends disagree with me, and that's OK too.   I do not dump friends just because I disagree with them.   I have been wrong many times, and admitted it.... and my friends wrong at times too.  I care for all my friends and never, ever want to hurt them...  or "Lord it over them!!"  I have always challenged my close friends to correct me if they see error --- because who wants to walk around with their clothes 'undun ?'   Again,  Israel WILL BE THE CENTER OF THE WORLD, and many who try to control and wrestle with it will be broken and bent.   God is not One to be mocked!   Some things, very few, are in the "gray area" in the KJV Bible, IMHO, but we work in that area with full knowledge of "God's Mind set."  His leanings, and past dictates, rules, thoughts, etc., and surely nothing approaching Salvation and other really important items would be involved or threatened, or misunderstood.  In other words, all the important stuff is sufficiently covered  in the KJV Bible, [and a few others-- like the NASB,  and  the Geneva Bible,  IMHO],  so that we KNOW what we are to do in this world.   This world must end....  so that the real 'New Heavens and New Earth' can finally emerge and consummate God's Grand Plan, for eternity.   See:  Revelation, please.

To be on the safe side,  I do vote in local and Federal elections,  discuss the facts and weight in on  things I feel is important....   I write letters, emails, sign petitions and even Prep a little, for emergencies of all sorts.      But, [yes, here comes the BUT!!], our primary purpose in life as a Christian, is to magnify, glorify and worship Father God, and also share the Gospel.   We sure are living in the 'Last Days' -- so I would not be trying really hard to PERPETUATE THIS OLD, WICKED, SATANIC WORLD !!   But for the time being, I will try to support all the good laws and the U.S. Constitution, as an Oath Keeper, in a Conservative way.   The "OTHER WAY" is pure Socialism,  Communism, and Satan's world.... which is not where Freedom loving people want to be/ live.  And that is where I stand on this issue.

It has been said by our wise fore Fathers who wrote the Constitution, the our Democratic REPUBLIC can only work/ succeed in a moral,  civil,  educated,  Judean- Christian environment.  Not a dumbed down, savage, Socialist system.  Please remember that.

Thursday, December 5, 2013 Judiciary Committee hears testimony on "Imperial" president Jonathan Turley, George Washington University law professor, is a progressive and a champion of the leftist agenda. He told the House Judiciary Committee on December 3 that there is a threat to America that is not "simply posing a danger to the constitutional system" but rather "the very danger the Constitution was designed to avoid." Turley was not speaking about conservative talk shows or conservative figures in politics, whether they be in the House or the Senate that might be pushing freedom of religion or be against immigration reform. To him, a progressive liberal, the greatest threat to the country is the man who occupies the Oval Office. Turley believes in the rule of law, and that this president threatens it. He said, "In recent years, I have testified and written about the shift of power within our tripartite government toward a more Imperial Presidential model...I was equally concerned about the overall expansion of unchecked presidential authority and the relative decline of legislative power in the modern American system. The recent nonenforcement policies add a particularly menacing element to this pattern. They effectively reduce the legislative process to a series of options for presidential selection ranging from negation to full enforcement. The Framers warned us of such a system and we accept it - either by acclaim or acquiescence - at our peril." He continued, "The current claims of executive power will outlast this president and members must consider the implications of the precedent that they are now creating through inaction and silence." He said, "The division of governmental powers is designed to protect liberty by preventing the abusive concentration of power. All citizens -Democratic or Republican or Independent - should consider the inherent danger presented by a President who can unilaterally suspend laws as a matter of presidential license." Turley also expressed grave concern over the increasing power of government agencies and the Supreme Court's recent ruling that they could "actually define their own or interpret their own jurisdiction." Turley recognizes something many Christian Americans fail to see: that we are all in great danger of losing our Constitutional freedoms. We are closer to living in a freedom-as-a-storefront dictatorship than at any time in our history. I have heard so-called "prophets" speak of the demise of America. I have also heard that Christians should not be involved in government or politics. But we as Christians have been blessed by God with a nation where we have a say. Psalm 33:12 says, "Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance." What inheritance have we wrought? What stewards are we? I only hope that the Link came across so you could read about the real meat of the story here,  but if you just email:  biblefortoday.org   --- you can get to where I want you to go.   These good people are Bible publishers who print the DEFINED KJV Bible,  that has been such a great help to people who want to know more and gain a true understanding of the pure KJV Bible,  like I do, and their prices are right !   I have purchased many in the past 10 years, and shared them with others.   Because the Old, Archaic terms of the Shakespearean, 1610--1611 Bible that King James [the pagan,  UN- Christian, burned alot of real,  proper Christians at the stake, but took credit for the good Bible that others laboured for so valiantly in those hostile times, only wanting the pure truth of God's  Word !!   Also, read,  "Foxes Book of Martyrs," a look into the hell that the Church allowed in that time period--- a bad mark on real Christianity.... shame !!    And just GUESS what is happening again, all over the world, including America ??  More intense persecution of Christians, and artifacts, Bibles, etc.,   but Matthew 24, predicted all this would happen in the 'Last Days.'  

 

Real Christians know that they are "Saved" by the blood sacrifice of Jesus on the cross,  but can they prove it to others how still NEED TO KNOW ?     With just a few simple questions a person can tell if the other has the Holy Spirit, and how much he / she knows.  We all  don't have, nor do we all need to be Bible scholars,  but we ought to know the slim basics, so we might share the Gospel with others!!   That is ONE of the reasons God has allowed us to live until now.  

 

This is the main thrust of my humble mission in writing this Blog:  TOM'S JOURNAL,  besides helping as many other disabled combat Veterans as possible, and get the word out about SUICIDE, PTSD, AGENT ORANGE, and the corruption of the Gov't and the VA system, that is being pared down, when obama's spending is still going up !!

     I sure would enjoy more input from readers, even if they can't figure out how to leave a simple COMMENT at the end of each blog post....  LOL.  And you all know my email address at this point.  

 

With all due respect, and never wanting to hurt others feelings [except politicians and Socialists...],  I was young and hungry for the whole knowledge of the Word, and begged a few 'pastors' to give me a book, or tell me where to find a book that explained the old, archaic, English of Shakespeare's time, 1611, so I could understand the King James version, better.   You'd have thought that I want to steal their spot light at church, or 'learn to much' -- but they never helped me !!  Shame!!   The "DEFINED KJV Bible" was the answer that helped me read and understand the more PURE, interpretation of the Scriptures!!  I want others to know about this too!    That's all.  [smile].  

 

Well,  I am back on AOL, finally...$$$$$, and it turns out that our PC when purchased, had NO Spyware, or Malware, so things finally got 'junked up' inside my hard drive, and now I am out of many dollars.   My wife even called ME an idiot today!   You see, friends,  your life isn't near as bad..... LOL !  Smile!  Who really knows when we shall meet our Maker.   Cabin Fever, already ...LOL ?  Don't worry too much, friends...  I am worth more alive, than dead, so I am safe for a while.

Hi Guys!
     Here is the News with me:   My AOL/ and Email is all messed up for the past 3 days, and some other folks tell me there might be a "Trojan Horse" in the nation wide system, and other people are also having trouble with their AOL systems.   Right now I don't know what to do !!   I am frustrated because I love to visit all my close friends and relatives this way.  My FaceBook, and Blogging still work.   If someone can help or direct me to fix my AOL,  please get back to me via F/B, or just call me.   Thanks!

My GOOD News is:  My old Chase Mortgage Company told me that my old house in Union Grove, WI., was just sold on November 26th,  2013,  FINALLY ! ! !  So, that means, NO more bills for utilities, gas, water, taxes, up keep, electricity, etc.  !!!   What a final, welcome, RELIEF for me, as if a huge one ton rock were crushing my back every day, and draining our checking account!!  PTL ---Praise the Lord !   But it was kind of handy for me to drive down there to civilization, and the land of education, where English is spoken WELL,  and shopping at all the GOOD, large stores for stuff that we just don't have U.P. here in Iron Mtn. MI..... [COMBINED TOWN OF FOUR THOUSAND PEOPLE...],  where we could stay over night for a few days  IN THE PRIME Country location right between Chicago and Milwaukee, and visit all my old friends and family, including my dear Mother, who is legally blind and aged.   But I call her almost every single day, for a short chat.   I hope to get her hooked up with that "First Alert" system, in case she falls down in the bath tub, etc., and cannot get up, soon !

I intend to post this Blog post in F/B so that my friends know what is happening to me, because I like to bounce things off their smart heads and gather opinions from those who have an expertise in other areas that I don't.  

Now for a question....  a generic, general question, and certainly not wanting to offend ANY ONE, please.   I have been around the block a few times in my life, rich with experience and knowledge,  so I thought ... LOL.   But there are all sorts of personalities and mixtures, and I think that most men are really looking for a woman with an easy going, good sense of humor, not easily offended, or looking for someone to make a mistakes so she can pounce on her husband coughing the wrong way, etc.   I knew that I was brought up right, with manners, respect for my elders, and family.   Yet, according to the  Bible, we ALL KNOW THAT WE ARE SINNERS, UNTIL THE RAPTURE, or death and heaven!!   Those who are "Saved" by the blood of Jesus Christ, know that all their sins, past, present and future were all forgiven that very minute that we got "Saved."   Hey!!  Just like going to school and comparing yourself with others [is that right or wrong...  but human nature makes ME want to be somewhere in the "Norm" in the middle of the pack, or better].   The problem is that my favorite classes in high school and college got better grades---  than the ones I didn't like ----enter MATH!  ....  Sorry, but I just hated MATH, even though I did very well, passing my "6 and 66" Securities Federal Exam, back in 1995, when I worked with PFS Investments...  but that was 99% Conceptual questions,  and 'blue sky laws', etc.  At one point I decided to just memorize the book/ material, after failing the hard exam the first time, like the other 57% of people taking it....  duh.  
      What I am trying to say is,  that most everyone has a weakness in some area of life, deep down, inside our guts.   Some things come easy for us, and some things are just hard to work on, like saying a bad word when you hit  your thumb with a large hammer...  OUCH !  For others, it may be alcohol, candy, smoking, stealing, lying, not facing the TRUTH, or minimizing a personal error or habit.   And when you get down to the final stretch and approach the throne of Father God in heaven one day,  'what will you tell HIM about the reason you did this, that, or the other ??'    "If errors were what  you watched, O Jah, O Jehovah,  who could stand?"     ~Psalms 130: 3.   And, Yes!  That is one of my very favorite scriptures, and hope to carve that one in wood, for sure, soon !!   Wood carving is a skill, past time, that will NEVER make me rich, but I get a lot of satisfaction in it.  And here is that same verse in German:  "Waren Vergehungen das, worauf du achtest, O Jah, O Jehova, ver konnet bestehen ?"

I have preached, handed out, given away many BIBLES, shared the Gospel far and wide, and led at least 3 female consorts/ relationships to the Lord.  I do good..... and then I mess up royally !  That is my story --- do well, and then slip up and fall on my face !    I also have to be careful that I don't say TOO MUCH ABOUT MY HOME LIFE AND MARRIAGE, so as not to anger my wife.... LOL.    If I could be more regular, more regimented, I might be more happy with myself.    But, on the other hand, I have also been in some near death experiences... too many for comfort, and I promised myself that I would take it easy after I was retired.    And with an assortment of crippling injuries,  I am pretty much "forced" to take it easy --- so in a sense, I tell myself, "why beat yourself up when you are limited ?"  Someone close to me has trouble understanding that my disabilities will NOT be getting any better with age.  But thousands of people 'like me' just "cling to our guns and Bibles."   It gives me a good, warm feeling inside.  Actually,  I am sorry, folks,  but History tells all.  

I had a class reunion many years ago and talked to a great English teacher and football and track coach, that I always liked,  Mr. Joseph Kaster, who used to teach us a lot about human nature and wisdom that would serve us well in the future.  He said that the year my class graduated, 1967, was the last year we saw some kind of normalcy, because a huge revolution would then come tumbling down --- so the teachers/ educators just took hold of everything sacred/ holy/ moral and they tried to tie down all those American Values down that the 'Perfect Storm' almost blew away, forever.   So,  In MY life,  as I joined the Army in 1967, and soon got sent to Germany--
Europe, with only a 30 day leave and then off to Vietnam for 2  long years, and that was like being in jail [although I've never been to jail]  --- and when we finally got out of Nam and the Army, it was like "walking into a whole different world -- the USA !!"  
     The morals, the people, the music, the attitude of the young people had all changed in some kind of revolution...  and hippies against the war, when they knew absolutely NOTHING about the War in Vietnam!!  All I could think of right then and there was:  'how in the heck did I escape without a scratch, I thought, when so many other young men were torn to pieces, with limbs missing, head trauma, Agent Orange and PTSD --- and the Gov't did nothing by LIE, LIE, and LIE !!  Well,  that really pissed me off, plus the fact of how we clean, combat,  Soldiers and Marines, with Good Conduct Medals, and "Good Paper" --HONORABLE DISCHARGES--  were still treated like dogs at the Milwaukee VA hospital, AND IF YOU WERE JUST ONE MINUTE LATE THEY WOULD NOT ADMIT YOU TO SEE THE DOCTOR !!    I kid you NOT!  No wonder a few of our people wanted to club some of the mean- spirited
VA staff and doctors.   Frankly,  I am surprised that component of our challenges wasn't a lot worse !  
    Sorry, I digressed again, friends.    This is important stuff to all our combat Veterans, although our wives may get angry IF WE DARE BRING IT UP IN ANY KIND OF CONVERSATION....  PLEASE !   Actually, we would just like to get it all sorted out BEFORE we die.  Please share this with a Vet you know.
