Huge Rise in Gun Sales Among Seniors

A local news report from Saint Lawrence, Pennsylvania shed some light last week on a phenomenon getting very little attention even in the pro-gun blogosphere. While the overall jump in gun sales has been widely reported, few have noticed the extraordinary way these sales have risen among senior citizens. And at a time when the Obama administration is trying to link the Social Security Administration with the FBI’s background check system, this demographic does not deserve to be overlooked.
The report, from 69 News, is anecdotal and specific to eastern Pennsylvania, but it does use a recent claim from the NRA to bolster the argument – that seniors are more interested than ever in arming themselves:

According to the National Rifle Association, there has been a 400 percent increase in the number of senior citizens taking a basic firearms course since 2010. Officials said the primary reason seniors are packing heat is for protection.
“I feel very secure. I know I have a concealed carry permit and I know if I needed to, I could defend myself and my family,” [71-year-old Joan] Eshelman said.

Reporters for 69 News also interviewed officials at Sensibly Armed, a local gun shop, who confirmed that they’d seen a spike in senior customers for the last three years.
Of course, you don’t have to be Sherlock Holmes to figure out what’s happening here. It’s the same as what’s happening across all gun-buying demographics. Under Obama’s failed presidency, Americans are more fearful about the future of this country than they have been in a long time. With economic warning signs on the horizon, civil unrest growing in our nation’s inner cities, and the global spread of Islamic terrorism, we have plenty to be nervous about. Put that together with the left’s constant “gun control” drumbeat, and it’s no wonder that Obama has been credited as one of the best gun salesmen of all time.
This proliferation is a good thing. The more people who buy guns, the less people there are who are afraid of them. More importantly, Democrats lose a little bit of political power in this arena every time a new customer buys a gun. At that moment, their efforts to disarm Americans become personal. If they shouldn’t have the right to ban you from owning one, why should they have the right to ban others?

There are so many 'ignorant' people out in the world who never sacrificed a minute to do a little digging to find out the correct answer  for things....  but I am not referring to my good friends who have honest questions when they approach me.   In fact,  I do have an expertise in several areas,  but I am ignorant of many other things/ subjects, too.   I like Charles Krauthammer, on Fox News,  because he is so educated and smart, and he is Jewish.  
     People go off 'half cocked' in their complete ignorance and make stupid accusations [even about me] and point to my past mistakes and false steps, and failures.   Yet,  I LEARN FROM MY PAST MISTAKES, so help me, God !   I have always acknowledged that I am a sinner,  but also that the heavenly Father LOVES and PROTECTS me, and has done so all though out my life ! !    PTL  --Praise the Lord !   And I try not to use that case as a pretext for sinning, or excusing my errors,  but I seek to improve myself by heeding the H.S. [Holy Spirit] and letting Him bend and shape my heart.    And are we not super BLESSED that God doesn't throw a bolt of lightning down upon us every time we mess up,  or I would have been fried crisp, like bacon, a long time ago.   


I believe I made a new friend yesterday who said that she likes me, [and she has the same name as my first born daughter] and I hope it turns out and our relationship blossoms.   But I know from experience that two people will always disagree after a while,  but if we both have a common ground of humility and love of Christ,  I hope that things will work.... 'and when one helps another -- both are strong.'   I think she is attractive, but it's her inner kindness and good heart that I love the most.  
         Yet,  I also met some other woman a while back  who had a bad case of 'potty mouth' and she cussed and swore more than a drunken sailor, and so I emailed her saying that "we just were too far apart on too many subjects,  and I was sorry to say that it just wouldn't work out with us."  She also thought and said that Obama was a 'great man who helped America.... and also killed Osama bin Laden...'  duh.... LOL !   That she didn't believe in the Rapture, and certainly didn't know much about the bible, as she said she did.     Well,  of course she got very vindictive and spiteful, and emailed a nasty letter to me, telling me to stay away from her, yet I was the one who just dumped her.....Ha!    Thank God I never traveled to see her in person !!    "Winner win -- and Losers Lose."   Well, that point just proved everything I said about her.   See,  people like that who are so full of themselves, mean spirited, dropping the "F-bomb" with every other sentence, etc., and ignorant will NEVER, ever, be happy or content, because they always see that their glass is only 'half full.'    So I just put her out with the trash, as I do where I live, here in Norway, MI.,  every Monday, so the garbage man can take it away every Tuesday morning.    And the small goofy town here where I live certainly CHARGES me enough every month for that service, [and they still do not have a simple chair at the post office for old, disabled Veterans to sit down and wait for their snail fast service],  but that's OK too.   Smile.   Pretty soon they will charge me for the air I breath and water I drink.   BTW,  California has only ONE YEAR's worth of water left in their underground aquafers, and the people are also leaving that area in droves, besides the cost of living there is so high.   It will be a huge calamity,  I promise.  
       Call ME ignorant and misinformed,  but I think we all will be surprised if America lasts long enough to see the September elections.   I intend to vote, of course,  but I have a sick feeling that who ever gets into office next still will not be able to stop the future Financial/ Economic Melt Down,  dear friends.   I hope I am wrong.


Well,  tomorrow will be HOT  up here, so I intend to buy a fan today at Walmart,  but I also intend to get as much sun on my skin as possible, as Mr. Sun heals my skin and helps me a lot.   PTL    Hey,  I waited all Winter for this good stuff.  


I have a very small refrigerator because I thought I might be moving South soon,  but right now I just cannot afford it.   I need to buy more fresh things to snack on when I get hungry,  so I don't just go to some restaurant and pig out from extreme hunger.   The trouble is,  you have to eat fresh food before it rots.   But if I am not hungry -- I just don't feel like eating.   I am lifting weights in my own house now,  but might check out a new work out place near by.

Why does the Psalmist speak about killing children?

"How blessed will be the one who seizes and dashes your little ones against the rock," (Psalm 137:9).

Critics often bring up this verse as an attack on the validity of the Bible, but does the Bible teach that it is okay to kill children?  The answer, of course, is no it doesn't.  We must ask what the Psalmist was saying and why he was saying it.
The context of Psalm 137 is the Babylonian captivity.  The Psalmist speaks of the captors tormenting the people of God (vv. 1-3), a promise to remember Jerusalem (vv. 5-6), and a curse against the captors (vv. 7-9).
The Psalmist is in exile and had probably witnessed the atrocities committed against his people, babies included.  In the revenge-style that was so common at the time, he wishes the same upon his enemy as a description of their utter destruction.  Nowhere does it say that God approves of the Psalmist’s request or that he fulfilled it.  Just because it is recorded that the Psalmist wrote the imprecation, doesn’t mean it was approved by God.
It is worth noting that the Old Testament records many atrocities.  The fact is that God allowed people their sinful desires, and he worked within their culture even as he does now as he permits all kinds of bad things to happen.  Nevertheless, God introduced what is called the Apoditic Law (Exodus 21:24): an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.  The Apoditic Law was instituted to prevent the increase of blood revenge--a practice where revenge would escalate out of control between two parties.  Since the hearts of the fallen are so wicked and the harsh environment and culture produced difficulties for survival, God has a few options to counter their proclivity towards evil.  He can run roughshod over their free will and force everyone to obey him, or he could wipe them all out (he had already done this with Noah's flood), or he could work within the situation at hand.  In the case of this psalm and its Babylonian captivity context, God chose to work with people and through them instead of violating the freedom he had given them and forcing them to act in a manner that he instructs. Therefore, the Psalmist is expressing his curse against Babylon--a natural response to what his people have already suffered.
Also, the critics need to provide an acceptable, objective moral standard by which they can criticize biblical morality.  It is one thing to complain.  It is another to offer a justification for the validity of the complaint.  By what right and by what objective ethical standard do the critics offer moral condemnation against Biblical morals?  This is a serious question that if not answered by the critics, renders the critics’ complaints moot.  After all, you must first have a standard against which to measure good and bad; and without a standard, no complaints can be legitimately offered.

Hi Friends and Readers,
    I only have a few minutes today, right now to write, and I need to come back to this subject matter latter.   I just want to say from the onset that 'civilians' can NEVER KNOW OR UNDERSTAND what real war and combat are !!   I compare it to a man never truly understanding what it's like to bear/ give birth to a baby.   One woman said:  'Try pulling your lower lip over the top of your head...' referring to the traumatic pain.   
      It's true that many combat Veterans have different opinions about the war in Vietnam,  but they reserve that sacred privilege to their own tight knit company or real warriors, and not to someone who has never been there.   And the old adage:   "For those who fight for it,  Freedom has a flavor the Protected will NEVER taste."   And ....  if the Congress and Senate had to do the actual fighting --- there would be no wars.... Ha!   Get the pun ?   And some folks say that it was Obama that killed Osama bin Laden!  Ha!  Never happen,  buddy !    If anything that 'man' has totally messed up our Armed Forces to where they are much less than before WW-2 !   His Socialist Liberal experiments have demoralized our troops, and now we have women in combat Infantry  positions.  Now, how is that going to work....  duh ?    And the beat goes on.


Thanks to  Bob C., a fine helicopter pilot in my old Army [Vietnam] outfit, for forwarding this to me.     IMHO,  Bob is a very fine gentleman and a great warrior.  


OK,  I could write a book on this subject  [and even tried to do just that in 1995...  but got writer's block after my first 150 pages, and I also had a pro -- proof reader,  but Chrysler just called me back to work after 6 years on the street without any insurance, although I was a good welder and always had a job somewhere....].   But when you are working for Chrysler,  they want your heart, soul, mind and everyday hard work, so some of my hobbies and past times had to take a back seat.  A man has to earn his living....  to support all the welfare frauds that Obama let's suck on the public breast.    But those dynamics WILL SOON CHANGE, and most bible students see some very dark clouds in the horizon....  although,  by and large true Christians are happy people who 'know where they are going,'  because they have placed their main trust in Jesus Christ, the Savior.      You see, dear friends,  that is the "paradox" !   Christians know that the financial/ economic bubble will burst and probably soon.    But we can still be happy and joyful,  because all of these "Signs" Harold the coming of Christ, to "remove all REAL Christians from this dangerous place-- Earth,  BEFORE the stink hits the fan,  before the great Tribulation, mentioned in Matthew 24, and other places like:   First Thessalonians, Chapter 4, and verses 14 ---18.  Please take the important time to read that rich scripture, and sound it into your heart.    And don't forget that part in Chapter 5: 3,  "For when they shall say,  Peace and safety;   then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child,  and they shall not escape."    So then,  verse 17, says:  "Pray without ceasing."   But why not read that whole book of 1st Thessalonians, written by the apostle Paul, to that Greek congregation ? ? It will all make more sense instead of just cherry picking something out of context...  I promise.   This important reading and study NEVER gets old with me.   And Hey!  If it took learning another language to get to heaven [instead of hell] would we not just do it ???   Ha!   Most combat Veterans know and agree, that our time in real combat, was just a walk in the park compared to eternity in HELL !   That's the Hotel that you enter --- but can never leave/  get out !   Seek the Lord, now,  while He can still be found, friends.

What You Don't Know About This Photograph Has the Power To Change Opinions

This gruesome photograph became pivotal anti-war propaganda that drastically shaped public opinion.  The horrific frozen frame
depicts a baptismal moment of unwavering distinction, a moment in a time that could not be undone, an elevated wartime tension
that could not be unraveled.  In this sense, the photograph was successful.  It was shocking and characteristic in its ability to drive
the anti-war movement, protesting against brutality of the Vietnam conflict.  But, what you can't see, is enough to change your perspective completely.
The common adage, "a photo is worth a thousand words," is true.  You've heard it, as a photographer you live by it, you incorporate
it into your work mantra.  But what happens when the story a photo tells is different from reality?  The image, "Saigon Execution" is an example of this misrepresented story.
This iconic war photo was immediately popularized and used as valuable anti-war propaganda to depict the horrors of war.  "Saigon Execution" clearly illustrates a violent moment frozen in time, but the context behind the image is not what it seems.  The iconic image won Associated Press photographer, Eddie Adams, a Pulitzer Prize in 1969 for Spot News Photography.  The image depicts the execution of Viet Cong prisoner, Nguyễn Văn Lém.  With a caption of merely "General Nguyen Ngoc Loan executing a Viet Cong prisoner in Saigon," the scene seems to depict the ruthless execution of a civilian, on a whim, in the streets of Saigon.  Greater than an image,
is the context.  Context is the single driving force of truth past the immediate surface elements of a photograph.

Despite assumable context, the "victim" in the photo, is not a civilian.  The man being executed is Viet Cong prisoner Nguyễn Văn Lém (also known as Captain Bay Lop).  Van Lem, or Bay Lop, was an assassin, the leader of a VC death squad who was targeting South Vietnamese officials.  Early on the morning of the photograph, Bay Lop had led a unit of VC tanks to attack the Armor Camp in Go Vap. After taking control of the camp, Bay Lop arrested Lt.Col Tuan along with his family.  In an effort to gain intelligence from Tuan, Bay Lop tortured, and eventually executed, Tuan. Bay Lop then went on to kill all the members of Tuan's family, to include his 80-year-old mother. Captain Bay Lop was then captured near a mass grave of 34 innocent civilian bodies, leaving little doubt to his involvement in the atrocity.  Upon proudly admitting his participation in the horrific war crime, Bay Lop was brought in and promptly executed with the
.38 side arm in front of AP photographer Eddie Adams.

I just followed the three of them as they walked towards us, making an occasional picture.  When they were close – maybe five feet away – the soldiers stopped and backed away.  I saw a man walk into my camera viewfinder from the left.  He took a pistol out of his holster and raised it.  I had no idea he would shoot.  It was common to hold a pistol to
the head of prisoners during questioning.  So I prepared to make that picture – the threat, the interrogation.  But it didn’t happen.  The man just pulled a pistol out of his holster, raised it to the VC’s head and shot him in the temple.  I made a picture at the same time… Eddie Adams, behind his 1969 Pulitzer Image "Saigon Execution"

Adams later commented on his regret of the image.  It was immediately adopted to depict ruthless violence and incivility of the South Vietnamese; however, the image, is absolutely contrary.  While war is violent and horrific, the actions carried out by Gen. Nguyen Ngoc Loan, Chief of the National Police, were reasonably just.  Adams later said in an article in Time, "The general killed the Viet Cong;
I killed the general with my camera."

Still photographs are the most powerful weapon in the world.  People believe them, but photographs do lie, even without manipulation.  They are only half-truths.  What the photograph didn’t say was, What would you do if you were the general at that time and place on that hot day, and you caught the so-called bad guy after he blew away one, two, or three American soldiers?

Adams continues to explain his remorse for how the image impacted Loan and his family.  When Loan died of cancer in his Virginia home, Adams stated, "The guy was a Hero.  America should be crying.  I just hate to see him go this way, without people knowing anything about him."
Following the incident, General Nguyen Loan was injured by machine gun fire leading to the amputation of his leg.  Seriously injured
and crippled by war, Loan left South Vietnam.  During the fall of Saigon in 1975, Loan fled to the United States.  Putting the plights of
war behind him, starting a new life, Loan opened a pizzeria outside of Washington D.C.  In Rolling Valley Mall in Burke, Virginia suburbia, Loan worked until his retirement in 1991 having never fully escaped the reputation of Adam's photograph.  Adams recalls a bit of bathroom graffiti on one of his last visits to Loan's pizzeria, "we know who you are f****r," a clear message of a misinformed individual.

The power of an image can shape minds, change lives and alter political climates.  The brutality of war is depicted no matter the
context of "Saigon Execution."  But if the proper story was represented, would the image have had the impact it did?  The story should continue beyond the grainy black and white exposure.  According to Adams, photographs are half truths.  With only half of the story publicly revealed, there grows an element of moral ambiguity in its propaganda.  We continue to see this misuse of media today in the social realm.  We continue to see groups use imagery at face value to represent a cause.  As consumers, we immediately take, share, like, and promote the media to support our agendas.  Maybe, taking a pause could help us learn more about the way the world works. Perhaps a little more research and understanding of the whole story might shape our opinions of the situation completely.

Hi  Friends,
     I had some challenges with my P.C. keyboard, so someone told me to check the batteries, and after I replaced them....  it worked !   I feel like a dummy.... LOL.   But I am back in the saddle again, although now I am having other issues with my blog back ground, etc., so please bare with me, folks.  


At least I saw and visited with my dear, old Mom, in Burlington, WI., a week ago, and also brought her some flowers and a cheese cake with Strawberries swirled in it.   I actually bought a fine pair of blue jeans in the Kenosha, WI area...  Mall, South of there that FIT ME PERFECTLY, right off the shelf !!   Now I need some suspenders to hold them up so they don't fall down while I am walking.... Ha!   I am going back to that fine store for more !   I am tired of wearing black sweat pants all the time and want to dress up a bit.  


For the most part, things are going well for me, as I plan on doing a new 'diet',  or new life style way of eating to lose weight, but today I took a very pretty woman out to lunch at Carlos' Cantina, in Iron Mountain, MI, and I ordered 15 hot, toasted, delicious peppers on the side to compliment the great, fresh food they serve there.    It's OK to have a few friends that  you can talk to and just visit a little bit, IMHO.   I honestly DO NOT want to be enemies with anyone,  as far as I can do that !   Life is way too short for constant bickering and fighting, so I am trying to relax more and be nicer to people, and look NOT for criticism and faults.   My Dad used to tell me:   'Tom,  if you cannot say anything nice about a person --- say nothing.'    It's about time I practiced that good point/  suggestion.


Romans 13: 12, is a fine note/ scripture to wake us up right now when everything seems to be going to the "dogs" and all manner of men [and women politicians] are lying constantly, and it never seems to stop !   I hope you invest 3 whole minutes to read the short message below, please.     Remember,  we are NOT electing a pastor to the church....  but we want to elect someone who will obey the U.S. Constitution and guard our hard won Freedoms, especially the 2nd and 1st Amendments.    Because once they get all of our guns,  there will be nothing to stop them from taking away the rest of our Freedoms ! !   All combat Veterans KNOW THIS ONLY TOO WELL,  and that is why "we are an endangered species in the USA, right now."   I kid you not !


On a different note,  I just bought and received a new, fine book that teaches the "Old Ways" of making things for yourselves, put things up, preserving them for hard times ahead.   And clean, pure drinking water is a must !!   They teach how to make the old, "small beer," with not much alcohol content, but it kills the bacteria, and harmful things in drinking water, how to make old fashioned "Soda Pop-- lemonade,"  etc, pemmican, etc.   It's historic and all but lost and forgotten.  We just MAY be needed that kind of info in the future, if our power grid fails us, or some terrorists that Obama allowed into our porous borders decide to wack out our grid that is so old and archaic,  IMHO.   A good Soldier wants to prepare for many different scenarios and situations,  and then he can relax and have fun, and fellowship with his trusted friends.   For the name of that fine book,  just email me, please.   I love to help people and make new friends ! !   We may all need a helping hand some day.
      Actually,  Paul counseled Timothy at:  1st Timothy 5: 23, "Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities."   Paul was not saying to get DRUNK !!  But history teaches us that the ancient Israelites did pour a LITTLE wine [not grape juice] in with their water, which had some value of nutrients but also killed some of the germs.    Hello,  they didn't have the luxury of clean, potable, pure drinking water as we do now days, dear readers....  go figure, that many people in 3 rd world nations die every day from dirty, germ ridden, polluted water.   Just look at Flint, Michigan  !!

  Monday, May 2, 2016 Communist Cry: Make America Mexico Again There was a curious news photo attached to a story about how radical anarchist rioters were violently protesting an appearance by Republican primary presidential candidate Donald Trump. The photo was of a little Latino boy holding a sign that read, "Make America Mexico Again." This take off of Trump's campaign slogan, "Make America Great Again" spoke a thousand words. The George Soros MoveOn.org-sponsored communists, also supported by La Raza, Black Lives Matter, Communist Party USA and other radical anti-American groups, are using free speech to trample on the free speech of legitimate American citizens who support a traditional and law-abiding ideal of America. Democratic Party presidential candidates, especially Hillary Clinton, support these organizations. "Make America Mexico Again" is exactly what the current occupant of the Oval Office and others in both political parties have created by allowing illegals to cross the border in record numbers. With them come radical Muslims, drug lords, Mexico's worse criminals, and the Catholic Church's bleeding heart photo opportunities-children by the thousands. They are all part of the plan-the Communist plan to take over America without a shot fired. Generations of Americans are too far removed from the days we had to practice taking shelter under our school desks in the event of a communist attack on our nation. The protesters come wrapped in hate and destruction against Trump for his strong stance against illegal immigration. The Los Angeles Times reports, Luis Serrano, an organizer with California Immigration Youth Justice Alliance, said, "We're going to keep showing up and standing against the actions and the hate Donald Trump is creating. We are going to continue to just show up in numbers and stand together." So it is now "hateful" to enforce the law, but fine if a "president" allows free medical, social services, and protected status to those with their minds set on overthrowing the government. The only ones creating hate here are those who are protesting--minions and pawns of the greater communist cause. Crisis and unrest creates opportunities for governments to crack down with greater control, suspending civil rights in the name of security. Are we too asleep to see what is happening? The answer is the gospel-truly it is. Christians are orderly, God fearing and law abiding by virtue of the commandments we strive to live by. We need to do a better job in evangelizing and making disciples. Our form of government works when the moral and ethical are holding accountability. Romans 13:12 says, "The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light." We are in a fight as a people and a nation. Yes,  please forgive some of us Veterans for being a bit cynical, distrusting, as we do NOT just "go with the flow" of regular 'sheeple.' [sic].  We are smarter than most civilians and better trained, too,  and we will NOT allow the "Gov't" to mess with us !!   I hang out with a few Veterans' Groups, and Organizations/ Friends,  and we all share important stuff with each other.   Because.....  'If we don't take care of each other --- WHO WILL ?'   We were lied to from DAY ONE, so our ears itch when we stumble on the "Powers" ALWAYS trying to steal from us.... and then give the world on a silver platter to ILLEGAL ALIENS, and the Muslims that the Gov't sneaks into our big cities at night to plant them into places like Detroit and New York !
     I am a peace loving man and also a Christian,  but that doesn't mean that I am deaf, dumb and stupid !   Fellow Vets,  please share this with our Brothers in Arms, everywhere, please.

Busted! Feds caught shredding veterans’ health claims

The Office of the Inspector General (OIG) launched surprise raids of 10 Veterans Affairs Regional Offices (VARO) last summer after receiving a tip from a whistleblower.
And what they found was disturbing.
According to the recently released report, the VA has been methodically destroying hundreds of veterans’ benefits and claim documents at their offices in Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, New Orleans, Philadelphia and Reno.
And those actions “could result in loss of claims and medical evidence, incorrect decisions, and delays in claims processing,” the OIG’s report states.
According to the report, the OIG found the VARO staff had scheduled for destruction documents that either directly affected veterans’ benefits, could have affected them, or should have at least been kept in veterans’ claim folders.
And these were just the documents discovered during the surprise audit, meaning the problem could be much more widespread than the OIG has found.
“The potential effect should not be minimized. Considering that there are 56 VARO, and if weekly shredding is conducted, it is highly likely that claims-related documents at other VAROs are being improperly scheduled for destruction that could result in loss of claims and evidence, incorrect decisions and delays in claims processing,” the report concluded.
The VA has struggled with scandals for nearly three years since news emerged out of Phoenix of chronic delays for veterans seeking medical care, and falsified records covering up the long waits.
Similar problems were soon discovered at VA medical centers nationwide, affecting thousands of veterans and prompting an outcry in Congress.

I just might take a 'vacation' from blogging, to clear my head and let some fresh air blow into my brain.   I can take good, constructive criticism, and I even ask for it and comments.   But I also have feelings.   There are my faithful friends and email buddies,  but I just need a break.  I doubt if I will be on Face / Book much either.

     I guess that the Gov't would label me an outlaw or a terrorist just for putting this message in print and disseminating it to my readers, etc.. in a public forum.   For those of us who fought to make other people FREE and independent,  we have seen what real Socialism and Communism looks like, and feels like, with oppression gone a rye/ amuck !!    It just stinks on ice !   I don't know if I can even say someone is a friend... who holds to those God-hating mind sets,  sorry.   I was misguided in my younger days too,  but the Word of God, deep prayer, study, understanding and the H.S. got me out of that 'church of the poison mind,'   PTL.   I regularly engage in helping others seek and find the Truth of the KJV Bible, as much as I can these days, Holy Spirit, help me.    Yes, folks,  I have been wrong many times and I freely admit it ---  but the Bible has always set a correct course for me, and I have prospered mightily, pretty much, since I retired from Chrysler in 2002, at the tender age of 54.   But my body and joints were pretty much messed up and pained by that time, mainly from super hard work and injuries.  
       But, "Once Saved ---Always Saved,"  and that is the biggest benefit I have for my retirement.   That trumps everything else, and smooth's  over the rough spots in my life.   I have also learned that it's best if I just give up certain things that have caused problems in my past, and just be satisfied with what I have and own.   However,  I know from Financial training and education from PFS Investments,  that we all need a lot more discipline to save and invest, by learning to live on 1/ 10 less of what we earn each month, and invest that part in something good and stable.   I used to teach people how to do just that !   It's surprising how much we ALL waste in our everyday life.... and we say that we "NEED" those creature comforts !    I guess we could call that selfish thinking.   
       But down below, the article tells us that the Gov't is stealing from the working class, and giving that ill gotten gain to people 'who COULD work,  but they are too dang lazy TO WORK,' and so we now have a 4th generation class of "Welfare People" sucking America dry, and making us into a 3rd world country,  and that IS Socialism, dear friends and readers !!   You cannot find ONE COUNTRY that is doing well on Socialism in the whole world !!  Yet so many Americans are so stupid and ill informed that they will vote for the poorest candidate, and that too is a by-product of "dumbed down public education !'   The older folks who graduated from good schools in the past know the score.   And for that matter, the 1st Century Christian communities were NOT Socialist,  but had the H.S. [Holy Spirit] operating in them to help distribute food and stuff to the needy in their groups, as should people today, IMHO.   [In my humble opinion.].   
     And then, go figure that our Gov't is over 200 years old and ready to collapse, partly from over taxation, and kicking God out of their system, plus most of the churches doing the same, and straying away from teaching the bible truth and watering down the Gospel.   


We can only do so much to help ourselves, I guess, and Congress is on the take, misled, corrupt, and in league with the WH/ Administration, and just godless.    We are going down for the count,  but perhaps we could make a difference by supporting new, better leaders and new Congressmen who want to clean  up the system, if only for a  while,  before God cleans up the world in "His own way..."    
    Any suggestions or comments from the readers ?   Don't be afraid to voice your opinions here, please.     Don't be afraid.

Our Founding Fathers rebelled against England after a less than a penny tax on tea. They did not envision a multi-trillion dollar government tending to the specific needs of individuals. Neither did they expect Americans to work 114 days into the year (April 24) to pay taxes. The government at all levels has become an insatiable beast feeding on the hard work of all Americans and becoming more and more demanding with each passing day. The Treasury Department reports that it collected a record amount of taxes $1.48 TRILLION the first half of the fiscal year. The American entrepreneur spirit must have money to be able to take hold and prosper the economy. Labor union workers do not "create" jobs. They work for the job creators. And yes, they too, should have tax reductions to be able to save more and provide for their needs. But it is proven economic fact that if the job creators are saddled with high taxes and excessive government restrictions, the economy will slow, jobs will be lost and companies will close. Here we go: The Tenth Commandment in Exodus 20:17 says, "Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbor's." Taxes, especially unfair and exorbitant taxes, are covetousness. Now many will also quote the Bible verse where Jesus says give unto Caesar what is Caesar's. But in this nation, our Founding Fathers set up a form of government where we all have a say. So we, in effect, are Caesar. It's when we lose touch with that reality that the government, any government, will fill the void and begin to expand its power. From property taxes to income taxes, when the fruits of a person's hard work are taken and given to another, that is coveting. It is also placing a chokehold on the economy because politicians are interested in expanding government rather than paying debt.  For example, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has proposed a one TRILLION dollar tax increase if she is elected. Bernie Sanders will do much the same. This money will not go to reduce debt, but rather to give students "free" college education and construction workers jobs fixing roads. Seriously. It's true. The current national debt as we reach tax day is $19.2 TRILLION. If you are a citizen, your share of that debt is $200,221. If you pay taxes, your share of the US Federal budget deficit ($5.8 TRILLION) is $850,735, according to the US National Debt Clock. These numbers are sobering and they point to rough times ahead.
