Proverbs.

Tom's Journal. http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/

Hi Friends:
I am happy to say that I have branched out, searched, and expanded my horizons, and made a few friends close by and other wise.    I am not so lonely anymore and also feel a bit more secure, stable and HAPPY !   Some one I know U.P. here is not happy with my positive hard won change,  but the H.S. is most responsible for helping me to change my ways and just be happy in my work, and treat people with respect and politeness.     Obviously,  I don't have the power to change water into wine,  but I can and have made a positive difference in other people's lives so that they are more happy now too !   After all,  who wants to hang around a sour puss, or someone who is 'pandering' and trying to put the squeeze on you all the time for cash, or what ever,  even after they tried to HURT you, steal from you, and extort money from  you......   but I am just going to let that go and rely of GOD to deliver JUSTICE in His own due time and place.
The world says:   'What goes around --- comes around.'   And the book of Proverbs has many scriptures to support the idea of true Justice,  bad human nature,  crime and punishment, etc.,  and that is why I love the Psalms and Proverbs so much lately.   But they also give me comfort and a good warm fuzzy feeling inside.  They are valuable to me right before bed time, and early in the morning to start my day off right.    Try it --- you will like it !
I will soon quote some Proverbs that taught me some serious Life's Lessons, lately.

Warm Regards,
Tommy

Proverbs 17: 17m  "A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born from adversity."   Ain't it the truth !!

"A man that hath friends just shew [show] himself friendly:   and there is a friend sticketh closer than a brother."   ----Proverbs 18: 24.

Hi Folks, Friends and Readers,
Sometimes we find out these pearls of wisdom in the book of Psalms and Proverbs late in life, and many times when you are down and out, even homeless and poor !!    That is a very hard way to realize the sum total of Life,  when you lose a job, lose a loved one, and so on.    It is THEN that you find out who your real friends are,  and when you are far away from supporting relatives, friends,   and your so-called "wife" kicks you out on the cold, Winter Street, in the FROZEN TUNDRA, of the U.P. [Upper Peninsula of Michigan],  3 days before Christmas,  you start praying so hard that tears run down your cheeks.   Blessed is that individual whose prayers ARE answered, and a few Patriots gather to make an 'iron ring' around that Disabled Combat Veteran, and shelter him.    And the real truth eventually comes out how his greedy, selfish "wife" has betrayed him,  ONLY  after she has stole many of his valuable possessions and even extorted money, etc., out of him.....    Hey!   God will Judge the Wicked and the true servants of His only begotten Son,  Jesus, in due time....   but we the innocent, will also be Judged at the "Bema Seat."   A few of us U.P. here believe that God sent a close, noble, loyal FRIEND, called Tim, to offer his old, huge house to me as a place to rest, and RENT, so I agreed, and now I have a chance to rest my weary head, catch my breath, and plan the next phase of my life,  paying my debt and getting back on my feet, and meeting many people along the way.   PTL,  And Thank You, Tim, for helping me out....  even though we are indeed helping each other.   An Old German proverb..... "When one helps another ---  both are strong !"   And,  "Iron sharpens Iron."   ----Proverbs 27: 17.   How very true that is !   Smile !
I guess that too many of you may be getting tired of this saying....  "Attending some church in your area no more makes you a 'Christian' ---  than standing in a garage makes you an Auto Mechanic...  or a car !!"  Ha!   It is a  fact  ---that if  you indeed have the Holy Spirit in you, along with the content of your pure, repenting   HEART, is what makes you a Christian !   So....   if you claim to have the H.S. [Holy Spirit] in your heart and body,  you would exhibit the Fruits of the Spirit found at Galatians 5: 22,   'Love, Joy, Peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, Temperance.'   Do you show these fine qualities towards your husband or wife ??    Or do you sleep on the couch for years at a time, refuse the "marital Due,  refuse to cook the spouse's meal for months on end and treat him like trash....   while going to church all the time and putting on your,  "Church Face" and being a goody- goody toward every one else,  and volunteering for every duty that comes up at church, and helping your girl friends,  but NEVER having any time for your spouse....  cannot even sit down and face him / her for five whole minutes and actually LISTEN to him !    I am ONLY writing this to show that there are TWO sides of the story,  and although I am a big, nasty SINNER MAN, deserving of hell,   I did NOT deserve to b e kicked out of HER house in the Winter, with barely the clothes on my back --- and with no where to go !!      By the Grace of God,  I managed to find a motel where I stayed for a week and a half  $$$$, with low cash and barely any money left on my 3 Credit Cards, and I "fasted" for the first 7 days,  to not only lose weight,  but also to punish myself for what ever it was that she kicked my 66 year old, DISABLED butt OUT,  with COPD,  PTSD, hard to walk or stand on my feet for any length of time,   on the cold streets of Iron Mtn., MI.....  Brrrrrrr !   Well,  my aged Mom, in Burlington, WI {Chocolate Town,  USA} has dementia, and Alsziemers disease ... needs to see me more often, plus all my friends and other relatives would benefit from my staying closer in their older years, perhaps.
Well,  my brother must have also been "shorted in many ways."  He is a great, skilled Welder, State certified, and a hard, consistent worker all his life,  but also belligerent and offensive,  never having or willing to acquire "People Skills" or communications skills,  barely able to read and write,   and his house really needs a top to bottom CLEANING, Sanitizing job,   from all the dog, cat,  hair and dust that is thick all over his house,  in most areas...  sorry.   I stayed over there for ONE NIGHT and I woke up so itchy all over, and panicky, from dog and cat dander, pee,  animal hair all over, that I checked right into a motel to shower off all the barnacles, to stop the itching !!   Perhaps I was allergic to cats....  and   I will NEVER stay there again...  Ha!     I have tried to mend fences with him many times,   but we all have relatives like him,  grumpy, ignorant, and hostile, hard to get along with,  some who hates God and the Bible...,  but it's like walking on egg shells, as we are fearful that he/ she might take offense to anything we might say.    I am far from perfect, but the last time I saw my brother....   I thanked GOD that I was not like him,  that he has learned nothing most of his life about a kind, merciful, benevolent Creator, who loved mankind so much that He sacrificed His only begotten Son,  Jesus Christ !!    And remember:   "Give not that which is holy  unto dogs,  neither cast your pearls before swine,  lest they trample them under their feet,  and turn again and rend you."   ---Matthew 7: 6.    The term,  "rend" means:   tear, pull apart, split, or rip us with violence.   And having raised both dogs and pigs,  I well know what sharp teeth a pig has and how they can rip up a man's leg...  and worse !   I don't play with poisonous snake and spiders, either.
Again, folks,   I am just clearing the air, setting the record straight, not wanting to air our dirty laundry, as some will say.   I am sure that my ex-spouse will have all of her lies and embellishments prepared to make her side of the story "look good."   And after all,  the Bible says that the ONLY grounds for divorce are ADULTRY, and not that you don't love your spouse anymore !   Duh...
She "drew First Blood !"   I am not going to give her another chance to hurt me again....  although I tried everything to heal our rift in marriage,  she wanted no part of reconciliation, as even other concerned spiritual people got involved and tried to help us  !!    All she ever wants is more cash money!   Sorry,  I am dead broke, and in deep debt,   trying to pay off all the CC's that she totaled for me in the first place.   She made her bed,  so let her sleep in it.   But she already has a younger, pretty woman renting one of her bedrooms, and it seems like she planned all of that from the get- go !!   Let God deal with her,  as she has already caused me enough damage and hurt.   People will someday learn the Truth of the matter.    This is the first, and the last time I will ever speak about this sad episode in my long life, and very soon I will be FREE,  again !   PTL.

I humbly ask for your prayers and direction, dear friends.   Thanks.

Warm Regards,
Tommy

Counting Our Blessings.

Tom's Journal. http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/

tschuckman@aol.com

Hi Friends and Readers,
Being off-line for 2 and a half weeks seemed terrible,  but I learned a few lessons.   Bad, tragic News on TV and the Internet never sleeps !   And it's the same old "scrap"  of people over-hyping everything for sensationalism and grabbing that almighty DOLLAR !   Some of my friends complain and hate the term,  Money,  but that is what makes the bills get paid,  sorry.   Money can be a master, or a slave.   And really, who of us really feels secure in their job or income??   I am still learning valuable lessons right now at age 67 !!   It took me 5 minutes to catch my breath after climbing the steep billy goat   outside,  snowy, steps, leading to my new mail box in the new small, country town I now live in ---     in the snowy U.P.  [Upper Peninsula of Michigan]
And the point I really wanted to get at today, not only for Info, but also to entertainment          [Is that's what I love to do beside read the book of Proverbs, etc.]      --- people .   If you ever saw the old movie called:   "Popeye,"  that small fishing town had a TAX on EVERYTHING ! !   Well,  this small town near Iron Mtn., MI.,   ---NORWAY, MI., is the same way....  lol.   Like, I had to pay a deposit of $200 just to get my Cable TV and Internet, reinstalled....hooked up!           And to rent a small, tiny P.O. box at the physical Post Office, is $25-- $50, and up !   OK,  gasoline is cheap right now, and that may be the ONLY thing to smile about... Ha!
I would estimate that this town has perhaps 1200 people in it.  Not that I like big cities,  but I will probably end up moving back to S.E. WI., to be closer to my family and many, dear, loyal,  friends.   But I hate moving with a passion, and it will cost me an arm and a leg to do it.    BTW,  I am stripping down in a sense by selling my guitar, Amp, and welding equipment soon, and try to write and finish my book, and get it published.   It should be interesting reading, and a help aid for others who go thru life and hit some big bumps.... while being a Disabled Vietnam Veteran:  68-70.   But, dear friends,  there is HOPE, in a far superior Being called, "Heavenly Father... God."  And without the H.S.,  all Believers would be sunk with despair.   Now,   I am a slow learner....  BUT, I DO LEARN, after I get burned enough.   I might be a lonely man right now,  but I do have Peace, quiet, some security and enough to pay MY bills.
OK,  I am sitting on a hard kitchen chair, and my butt tells me that it's time to end this post.   The bottom line for my near future goals is:  try not to be negative about your life style and obstacles, because someone out on the street always has it much worse than you do.   I just might get involved in helping the Homeless, too.
   Have a great day!

Clinton indictment may derail campaign

Mark Tapscott of The Daily Caller has reported that Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton may be indicted for several legal violations and speculates whether partisan Democrat Attorney General Loretta Lynch would act on an indictment recommendation. The entire fiasco brings much smoke to where there must be fire, yet it remains to be seen whether anyone has the backbone to do the right thing. Sources with experience in handling classified emails have told The Daily Jot that government employees handling information the way Clinton has would be in jail for a long time. Just the shear number of Clinton's possible legal violations should derail her campaign, but we live in strange times.

Tapscott writes: "Negligence is critical because Clinton signed a Non-Disclosure Agreement in 2009 regarding classified information that stated, among much else, that "Sensitive Compartmented Information involves or derives from intelligence sources or methods that is classified or is involved in a classification determination ..." Clinton and several of her closest aides must have read information "derived from intelligence sources or methods" on a daily or near-daily basis. There is an ominous sentence buried in that agreement Clinton signed: "Nothing in this agreement constitutes a waiver by the United States of the right to prosecute me for any statutory violations.""

This is possibly the smoking gun, according to Tapscott. He concludes: "A Republican with direct knowledge of the investigation predicted political chaos if Lynch doesn't decide to prosecute Clinton, a chaos that "would be the gift that keeps on giving right through the election." With or without resignations of FBI officials to protest such a decision, there would be a blizzard of news releases from congressional GOPers condemning Lynch, followed by hearings in which both the attorney general and FBI Director James Comey would be put under oath and asked about their actions." The trouble here is that Democrats will be unlikely to uphold the law and Republicans, to date, have not held accountability for years.

People need to understand the criminality of what Clinton has done. If we live in a nation where no one is above the law, folks like Clinton should be in jail. But, like notorious gangster Al Capone, they keep using legal loopholes for their "stay out of jail" card. It was simple tax evasion that brought Capone down, even though there were many other terrible crimes he had committed. It may be emails that indict Clinton. Notwithstanding, a person of her character should not hold office.  Exodus 18:21 tells us what kind of leaders to select: "Moreover you shall provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness."
Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

I'm Back !

Tom's Journal. http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/

tschuckman@aol.com

I'm BACK !!  Ha!  The old saying is:   Never kick a combat Veteran when he is down !"   He might not be dead and he can bite you in a dangerous place, or just break your neck !   Somehow I survived getting kicked out of my wife's house with COPD,  PTSD, a bad back, can't walk very far, and need to use Oxygen and a CPAP machine when I sleep.....  just 3 days before Christmas !!  Most men would have died or blown their brains out, and although I know that I am a sinful sinner man,  I didn't deserve this !!   But I promised my spouse that I would not sling crap at her anymore, and I will try my best to be civil, mature, and cordial,  so I refuse to air my / our dirty laundry in public.    Only that I too many times have to learn things the hard way, and 'God disciplines those whom He loves.'  ---Book of Hebrews,  KJV Bible.   Yes, I confess that I have a thick German head, but know the bible backwards, frontwards and sideways....  but I was slow to put things to action !   I have a big mouth and am paying for that fact in spades right now.... living in a big old house in Norway, MI., alone, in the Winter time, where it really gets cold and windy.   But I know that  Father God not only forgives me, but delivered me from death these past two weeks U.P. here, and rescued me and showed me the correct way to mend my evil ways....  yet I maintain that I didn't deserve what I got, and there are two sides of the story.   I chose to keep all that private and not soil my wife's good name, nor harm her in any way,  but let God sort it all out and judge us both in the end.   I am truly sorry for all my stupid blunders, mistakes, rough language, sins and errors, and told my wife just that,  and others multiple times already,  but she told me many times already too,  that there is NO WAY she will ever take me back, and so life goes on and perhaps I will move to be closer to my family, Mom, who is now in a nursing home, in Burlington, WI.   I have many true blue friends in that area, S.E. Wisconsin, who still love and respect me... PTL.   Let it be known that the bible only [ONLY] allows divorce for infidelity,  ADULTERY,  and I NEVER touch another woman in the short four years we were together,  but loved her dearly,  but we both argued too much..... and I am sorry about that too.   I also got some cold treatment from all of her girl friends....  but I will stop there and not get anyone into trouble or make things worse.   I just think that such folks are hypocrites, IMHO.   Time will tell who survives, I guess.

I need to say:   "That attending some church, even on a regular basis no more makes a person a 'Christian',  then standing in a garage makes a person an auto mechanic or a car !!"    Now days the term "Christian" is too loosely applied and there are many false Christians who SHOULD BE HELPING THOSE IN DIRE NEED,  but so easily make lame excuses when it comes to physically helping some poor disabled Veteran who got kicked out in the cold Winter, too disabled to move his property in time to accomplish anything !!  Big Shame on those fake, plastic 'humans !'   I choose not to associate with them after this.... Ha!   But it was God and the VA that helped me when I needed it !    Jesus is my Lord and Savior, my Master and Captain !   I think that God will prosper a church according to their deeds, and not what they claim....  sorry.   I am not full of hate anymore,  but happy to read, study and carve into wood, the Proverbs and other scriptures in the Word.    I am disabled and about  ready to move into a nice, quiet, clean apartment some where,  but happy and glad that a good friend offered me his old house for rent until he sells the place.   But I don't know anyone here, and it's very hard for me to walk any distance because of my legs and back.

I will NEVER marry again,  but try to keep my nose clean and improve myself in the short time I have left on earth, hoping that the Rapture or a happy, pain free death will take me when God wills it.   I aim to  reach out and make as many true blue friends as I can, and form meaningful relationships with others if God wills.    I am also thinking of writing and publishing a book,  too.     I hope I don't mention this chapter of my life again,  but I found out some real survival tactics when I was homeless,  what works and what don't.

That's all for now, and happy to be back... and just got my expensive Cable TV and  Internet hooked up today, with a $200 deposit and $35 hook up cost.   I bear no evil nor ill will against anyone, and wish all my friends and fellow combat Veterans a very Happy and Prosperous New Year !   Smile.

Sincerely,
Tommy Schuckman

PTSD

Psychologist: Headway made on treatments for PTSD

Before he launched into his lecture on the long-term consequences of “the blast,” Alan Peterson, a clinical psychologist, took a moment to pay tribute to his subjects — and to get his audience’s attention.
“This time of year, keep in mind, we have a lot of people who are deployed,” said Peterson, who is the behavioral medicine chief at the medical school of the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. “For our troops who are deployed, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and …”
“BOOM!” he said, in a sudden shout.
Beside him, images flashed across a screen: ripped, ragged limbs, pools of blood, furniture — and people — thrown like rag dolls.
Peterson’s voice was shaky. “There was just this incredible, loud boom, and all you could, just, like, the smell was of carbon, like a metal taste in my mouth,” he said. “There was moaning and there was screaming and the medics showed up. People were just blown to pieces. And they were helping people and there was just so much blood.”
The images came quickly now. A torso pierced by shrapnel. A stretcher. Body parts.
“Oh God, that one dude, I could see inside of his head. And there was just kind of mass chaos. There was just so much blood … so much blood.”
He paused. The screen stopped on an image of the tent, giant holes torn through its walls and roof in jagged, violent angles. Peterson turned to the room full of medical colleagues.
“That’s the way that blast occurs, right?” he said. “You are at a rock concert, in Paris, you are having a good time, the next thing you know it is mass, mass chaos.”
The IED, or improvised explosive device, is considered the number one culprit for battle wounds in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. It evolved into the go-to weapon for enemies of U.S. forces as they patrolled the streets trying to reach out to people. Nearly 80 percent of combat injuries to U.S. forces in those conflicts were from blasts — the highest proportion in the history of large-scale conflict, Peterson said.
For U.S. forces, that has meant myriad complex injuries ranging from burns and amputations to musculoskeletal, skin, genital, organ and brain injuries, as well as psychological consequences that can last decades.
But the proliferation of the blast also has meant a robust focus on protection and treatment. Forces are now equipped with better body armor, bomb detectors, robots and protective vehicles, along with more focused training and human intelligence. Far more survive.
And while some injuries — to the brain in particular — are still confounding scientists, doctors are making tremendous headway in treating not only the physical wounds of these wars, but also another signature injury: post-traumatic stress disorder.
PTSD and traumatic brain injury often overlap, said Peterson, who is part of a south Texas consortium studying the treatments of PTSD. Often, those suffering from TBI have PTSD as well. Many of the symptoms are similar — trouble sleeping, memory problems, poor concentration, depression, anxiety and irritability.
But there are differences as well. TBI patients struggle with headaches, dizziness, fatigue and light and noise intolerance, while symptoms unique to PTSD involve re-experiencing the trauma, avoiding reminders or triggers, negative changes in thought processes and moods and heightened excitement.
The symptoms compound each other, Peterson said. A PTSD sufferer stops going outside, doing his or her favorite things for fear that something will trigger symptoms. That leads to isolation and depression, he said.
Military forces can train for the horrors of war and to be resilient, Peterson said. But the trauma comes when the unexpected happens. So while special operations forces might be the most resilient and prepared, they are also the most exposed and at risk of experiencing things that one could not have imagined in advance.
“Things occur that no human being could possibly anticipate would occur,” he said. “Oftentimes, these are the things people struggle with.”
The cost for these injuries is also staggering, Peterson said. The costs for disability payments alone for a servicemember claiming PTSD can tally $500,000 during a lifetime, he said. That’s not including medical, unemployment and other associated costs.
Though many treatments might work, the departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs have sanctioned two of them for pervasive use: prolonged exposure therapy, in which a patient reviews the traumatic experience again and again until the event becomes historical and stops setting off triggers, and cognitive processing therapy, in which the patient reviews symptoms and accounts of the trauma and works to modify thoughts and beliefs related to it — more of an adaptation of perspective.
A 2012 study found 80 percent of civilians treated with these therapies were basically cured, and remained that way five years later.
But doctors have yet to conclude that it works as well on military veterans. Part of the problem, Peterson said, is that active-duty servicemembers don’t manage to show up for sessions during a 12-to-15-week period. Doctors are now trying compressed treatments, in which the sessions are daily for two weeks, rather than spread out over a longer period.
In Israel, a 2011 study found early intervention following a trauma can help prevent the full onset of PTSD. The study divided nearly 300 participants into five groups receiving exposure therapy, cognitive therapy, medication, one placebo and one on a wait list. At the end of five months, 20 percent of the two therapy groups developed full-blown PTSD while 60 percent of the other three groups developed the symptoms.
More than 25 PTSD research studies are being conducted by the consortium at the UT Health Science Center, where Peterson is one of more than 100 investigators. The group, called STRONG STAR — the South Texas Research Organizational Network Guiding Studies on Trauma and Resilience — is the largest of its kind in the world, involving more than 30 collaborating institutions, including the VA’s National Center for PTSD.
Several of the studies are being conducted by the doctors who developed exposure and cognitive therapies, Peterson said.
One being conducted at Fort Hood, Texas divided 370 people into four groups, comparing standard prolonged exposure therapy with the same therapy compressed into two weeks. A third group that did standard therapy, known as present center therapy, and a fourth group received minimal contact. Those results are not out yet.
A study published this month in the Journal of Consulting Clinical Psychology compared prolonged exposure, cognitive processing and present center group therapies, Peterson said. Cognitive processing was most successful, and prolonged exposure a little less so. But neither worked as well as 80 percent — the results in the civilian study, he said.
A third study compared group and individual cognitive processing therapies and initial findings are showing the individual therapy is more successful, Peterson said.
Ultimately, he said, treating PTSD is oddly similar to treating cancer. There are all these different treatments, Peterson said. If one doesn’t work, keep trying until you find one that does.

Congressional Budget--- More funds for the unjust.

Tom's Journal. http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/

tschuckman@aol.com

Hello Friends,
Sometimes I wonder if I should re-label my humble blog....  "Tom's Daily Therapy  Session."   Indeed, about 20 years ago a kind doctor at the Milwaukee VA told me that I had the 'gift for writing and communications !'  At that time I was already into writing and trying to write and publish my own book,  sort of a honest appraisal of the Vietnam War and how it affected me and my life, so far.    But at that same time,  in May of 1995,  I got called back to work at Chrysler Corporation in Kenosha, WI.,  and that is like hitting the Lottery !  That is a 'Game Changer' -- that will jolt a man from the Philosopher/ Theorist [unemployed welder]  man ---  to a full 'action figure' with lots of good friends and a higher income level !     The pay is great and health benefits outstanding,  but Chrysler then owns your butt completely and wants super, hard, reliable performance EVERY DAY AT WORK ON THE ASSEMBLY LINE, etc.    Sadly,  in this world,  the man without money is too many times considered a "Bum."   But the man with income and money is looked up to and valued [and too many times a 'target' for women in search of an easier life style].
But, while on the outside [of losing a great job/  laid off for a while,  6 long terrible years, abandoned by MANY so-called "friends"],  I had the chance to explore a few enterprises and visit things with great possibilities that I could only dream of before I was laid off from my good paying job, along with over 6000 people, in ONE DAY !!   That cost about 50% of us Chrysler workers not only our main jobs of support,  but our marriages, investments, hobbies, life styles and really tested our metal !   It was horrible for many folks who were caught in that 'older' mid-50's age bracket who found it hard to get another job just because of their age, and inability to retrain,  re-school,  readjust, and assimilate.    So many relationships went right out the door!    Many turned to drugs, alcohol,  immorality, loss of friends, got divorced and were abandoned, or just 'fell threw the system.'    My own wife of 22 years left me because I elected to sell our house and try to live cheaper during my re-training, education and lower income level.   Isn't that cute ?    I became bitter, not trusting anyone, and jumped from one failed relationship to another,  but finally found God in my quest ---  so that what ever happened to me in the future,  I knew for sure that God loved me and I was "Saved" for all time, and going to heaven,  NOT FROM MY OWN FEEBLE WORKS as a human,  but only from the merit of Jesus' supreme one time sacrifice on the cross some 2000 years ago in a far away land!   So....  what ever happens to me in the future,  bad, good, or otherwise,  I and millions of other Believers have that same hope for all time, and that I should be comforted to a large degree.   Now,  we would all do well to  remember that when things go a rye in our daily lives amid this whirl wind satanic mess with economies, cultures and nations being turned upside down, with Socialism knocking at the door and loss of Freedoms !

And today when we again see more head lines and special news briefs like the one down below that shows there really is NO HOPE with human beings who keep erring, no matter with political party they belong to.   Actually, dear friends,  it's just another 'smoke screen' of the devil and his earthly followers to mislead us and waste this important time we have left in the "Last Days" we are in right now,  THAT SHOULD BE USED TO FURTHER THE  GOSPEL  INTERESTS of our Lord and Savior,  Jesus Christ !   I am doing just that right now as I am sharing this timely message with my friends, readers and everyone else who will make time in their busy schedules.   Yet,  I am 'frail and wanting too' --- complaining that I don't get enough attention in our modern 'part time marriages' these days that squeeze out normal essential communications --- replaced by other mundane interruptions from peripheral chatter and encroaching 'lady friends' and baloney contending for my needs and wants in the marriage arraignment.  But I was blessed today and last night by a nice, kind, lady from church who made some venison spaghetti  and brought it over to our house, HOT, yesterday afternoon,  named, Sandy !  How tasty and nutritious !!  Thank You, so much, dear sister in Christ !   You saved me [US] from another day of stomach pain and irritability by 'buffering'  my stomach from the harsh VA medicines and other herbal remedies and daily intake !   I guess I am too emotional for a man,  but I just LOVE the taste of wild meat/ venison,  and you happen to be a very fine cook !   I just ate the left overs for lunch, and it put me in a great, warm mood!

Anyway,  for me,  The Daily Jot, keeps me balanced and up to date almost every day in a world of illusion, lies, half truths and just plain baloney,  when we just don't know WHO TO BELIEVE !   I wish I could say that deep study in the KJV Bible "WILL" take care of every facet in our daily lives,  but at least if offers the reasons why the world is on the 'highway to hell,'  what the remedy is [Jesus Christ], and how to get and stay in good standing with our Lord and Savior.   I hope and pray that should suffice for now/ today.

Next,  I want to talk about:  Commitments, Contracts, Agreements and Covenants.    "Let your Yes -- mean, Yes."

Warm Regards,
Tom  Schuckman

Congressional budget--more funds for the unjust

In the election a year ago in November, the American public sent a message to Congress: We do not want the tax and spend status quo. Apparently, the Congress didn't listen. Even as House Speaker John Boehner resigned and Paul Ryan was elected, his first House omnibus appropriations bill continues to redistribute wealth by taking your hard earned money and giving it to others. The political gamesmanship with our money is beyond the pale of good taste. The government is growing bigger and more powerful, while the citizenry becomes further at risk--both physically because the government fails to see the domestic threat of Islam, and financially because the government is taking your money for bad use.

As the reports come in on the new government budget, we are seeing that the "president" got exactly what he wanted from establishment House Republicans. Funding for Planned Parenthood--after all that has been documented about this evil entity--remained. Apparently, the Democrats said they wouldn't support the budget bill unless the abortion mill got its full fare, and the Republicans (who hold the majority) caved in. The Republicans in the House made it more difficult to repeal socialist healthcare; they funded the Administration's hobby project on climate change through another fund, after all the Republican promises that they would dismantle socialist healthcare and not fund global warming.

But wait, there's more. This backroom budget deal is just getting started. The Washington Times reports, "the 233-page document moves away from deficit-cutting and embraces dozens of special tax breaks that presidential candidates in both parties had said they wanted to eliminate...Tax breaks on everything from racehorses and film productions to NASCAR racetracks to college tuitions and teachers' out-of-pocket classroom expenses are covered in the massive deal." Senator Jeff Sessions (R-Al), one of the few conservatives fighting the good fight, said, the people didn't elect Congress "to line the pockets of special interests and big business. That's not what we are here for." But it's what happened in the House.

Now where do the American people turn? The "president" and his party no longer hide their socialism and openly attack those who don't agree with them. The Republican "opposition" hides behind Christianese and faux conservative rhetoric, but supports the Democratic socialism with impunity. Isaiah 59:9 says, "Therefore justice is far from us, neither does righteousness overtake us: we wait for light, but behold darkness; for brightness, but we walk in gloom." But there is a place to turn for honest, hard working, common sense people. His name is Jesus Christ. For we know that he has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind. Let us pray and act. As a nation, we need to repent. As a people, we need to pray and act that we not perish in the hands of these evil doers.
Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!
