Good Day, Folks !
I am feeling much better today, sitting in "MY OFFICE" that my wife helped to decorate, with a "Don't Tread on Me" flag, and a few Military 'ornaments' and mementos. My friends know that I am a knife collector, of sorts, and I have learned how to sharpen them well enough to shave with them.... but now I am studying how to make the cutting edges much sharper ! My wife, Terri, reminds me NOT to share TMI... too much information, and she is correct ! "Loose lips sink Ships !" Who really knows that the banking/ Financial system might collapse in the month of July ??? I sure don't know, but I believe in storing up some pure drinking water, and few cans of beans, etc.... lol. Be Prepared !
Well, Folks, I have rehashed all of that stuff on my humble Blog many times over... so we don't have to visit that subject again right now. Suffice it to say that when I had that major trauma of being hospitalized at the VAMC, and then sent to a Nursing Home for another 2 long weeks, you sure get to miss all your creature comforts in a hurry!! Like: I have all my vitamin pills, Herbs and supplements organized on my PC table area, and I did well before my bike accident, with my VA Meds, etc !! But take a man away from his "Castle", friends, wife, tools, and sharp knives..... and he is like a fish out of water! I worked hard all my life --- just as all of YOU did, and now retired, blessed by the Lord to have a few treasures, toys, and comforts. I convinced my wife to retire early too, as I can support the both of us. Now, she is the permanent, perpetual, non-stop, Home Improvement Person, here in her own 'Castle." And that cost plenty of $$$$... LOL. I try to make sure that there is plenty of fresh fruit in the house all the time, and that is very important to me! And here is how it works... If you don't have good, healthy. fruit, and munchies, when you get hungry, you might 'pig out' at lunch or supper time!! And then, there does all your good weight loss, and dieting strategy !! That is one of the few good things I got from the VA, my own smart, dietitian.
I got a $12 haircut today... TOO SHORT, by a new too young barber!!! And then I re-joined Bianco's Fitness Center, in Iron Mtn., to get back into my weight lifting regimen, every other day... FOREVER, but only paid $37. 95, for a one month deal, and if that works out right, the why I plan, I will get a 3 month or full year package. My wife is not too keen on joining me, in this important endeavor.... so sad, because it would do her TONS of good too, with her health, etc. She would have TONS of extra energy, association with others, with only an hour's short work out. I used to teach power lifting for many years when I was working for AMC [American Motors Company--- in Kenosha, WI., 11-7-72 started], and latter Chrysler bought them out. I retired after 30.5 years in one place, with full benefits and pension, thank you very much, but went back to college twice when I was laid off for 5-6 years, along with 6000 other people, when times were really rough, studying more Welding, etc. I loved college, and got into Writing, there, as my Professor encouraged me.
So, now it's only 12:20 AM, but still a bit chilly, in JUNE !@#$% ? I wanted to get some sun rays today, which helps my skin look good, and the Sun heals me. I am munching on some great, chilled, Bing Cherries, praising the Lord for my continued Healing, body and soul. Also praying for a few certain people who asked me to....
Isn't it really something, according to the fine writing below, The Daily Jot, that Jesus even exposed/ identified modern day Turkey, as the "Seat of Satan !" See: Revelation, and other parts of the KJV Bible ! Wow! But the current occupant of the White House, is surely greasing the skids/ rails, so that evil consumes US more rapidly, and the Congress is COMPLICIT ! ! ! Just how much more evidence do we need before [IF] someone, a real MAN takes positive action. Flash! Illegal Aliens are infiltrating our Southern, and other borders, carrying terrible contagious diseases ! Hint... if people in D.C. got sickness from that source, I would bet things would really start happening... lol. I am not wishing evil on some people, just considering the possible out come. BTW, I like to play Chess, taught to me by my dear Father, Gilbert L. Schuckman, born in the great State of Kansas, and transplanted in Wisconsin.
Like I've always said in the past, many countries have gone BANKRUPT in the past 60 years, and Americans are very FOOLISH, if they think that it can't happen here in THIS country !! Actually, IMHO, we ARE already bankrupt, but in DENIAL... and things are better seen after the fact... like "hindsight is 20/ 20."
Please take a minute to check out the following, great post. And say a prayer for all those traveling this up coming Holiday! I already left a large pool of blood on the highway, about a month and a half ago.... what a blunder, but My Lord kept me alive. PTL.
