Hello, Ladies and Gentlemen.
I know that I am being 'naughty and perhaps nutty,' but I imagine in my mind that the husbands of certain, loud mouth women, Liberals, and Socialists, were strict Islamic men who followed Sharia Law... like Nancy Pelosi, Ambassador Rice, Hilary Clinton, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, etc. Ha- Ha! Ho! Smile. Imagine that these women had to appear on some Talk Shows the next day after their hubby's beat them for some goofy small infraction of their Sharia Law Code.... duh. Would they still champion and wink at the Muslim's great so-called, "Freedom ??" To be sure! The wives of true Christians and Jews fare much better than wives of Pagan and Islamic men ! Just trying to make a point here... that's all.
The apostle Paul wrote to the Ephesians @ Chapter 5, verse 25, "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; ..." And there are many more areas and text in the KJV Bible that protect women and children from harm and abuse !
History tells us all what kind of world Muslims are forced to live in, still without the real Freedom of Christianity, the Bible, and God's true mercy and Salvation... also living in the 17th Century, usually in abstract poverty !! But... Hey! If that is what they want and love so much, let them have it ! Only don't try and push it over here in America, and Western and Northern Europe !
The Holy Scriptures state that some day, and perhaps soon, ISRAEL WILL BE THE 'CENTER OF THE WORLD' and many nations will seek to have it for it's many treasures of oil, natural gas, fruit, water, etc.--- and they HATE the Jews because somehow the Jews have transformed a barren, hot, dry desert into something great, fertile, lush gardens that produce fine fruit that is shipped to Europe, etc., and they are sitting on vast areas of treasures, etc. Don't you think that God had something to do with it ?? Just read, Genesis 12: 3 !
Please pray for my good friend, George, the Aviator, who lives in Louisiana, and just had a knee replacement.... [hurt!], and will now advance to the painful rehab. He was a professional, respected Helicopter pilot in Vietnam, and so we have bonded too, because I did some time 'Over There' flying every day as a door gunner. The prayers of the righteous are powerful, when in "Jesus' name."
It's getting cold, chilly and rainy in the great U.P. of MI., and up here we identify with our good Wisconsin neighbors in the Green Bay, WI area, and like the Packers! Woo Woo ! Go Pack Go!

Shari'a is Seditious
Shariah law is not American law - it is law distinct, separate, and alien from the Constitution and the laws derived from it....on that basis alone, prima facie, a priori, it has no place in America.
But then, add to that the fact that, as you know, shariah defines Islam, is Islam, and is binding law on all Muslims, everywhere, for all time (whether or not all choose to abide by it). There again is set up a conflict with the U.S. legal system.
Now, it is also important to note that Islam is a wholistic system - it is not a la carte, it is not "cafeteria style". Shariah is an entire "way of life," immutable (since codification in 10th century). So, it's not like Muslims or anyone else are permitted pick and choose which sections they want to implement and which not. Yes, countries and individuals do.....but it's not authorized - and those who implement it most fully are the most faithful Muslims.
Next: shariah holds as its fundamental premise that all law comes from Allah and that man-made law is illegitimate. Another conflict with the U.S. constitution. The leading Muslim authorities, Imams, and others in the U.S. (esp. those openly affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood or its front groups) all agree that they would like to see shariah replace the U.S. Constitution at some point. Exhibit A: Imam Faisal Rauf.
Next: shariah commands jihad. Jihad is defined in Islamic law as "warfare to establish the religion." ('Umdat al-Salik, Reliance of the Traveller, o9.0, pg. 599). This is definitely a problem.
Next: shariah commands perpetual inequality between Muslims and non-Muslims, between men and women, and between free men and slaves....and yes, shariah permits slavery to this day. Definite conflict with Declaration of Independence and multiple Articles of the Constitution and Bill of Rights.
Next: Americans believe that our rights ("to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness") are derived from the Creator....and that governments are instituted among men to secure these rights. Shariah says that governments are instituted in order to implement Islamic law. Big problem.
Next: Shariah obligates Muslims to lie to non-Muslims in certain situations. (Q 3:28, 16:106, 4:142, 9:3; see also 'Umdat al-Salik on Lying r8.0, pg. 744)
Next: Shariah commands that apostates from Islam be put to death. (Q 16: 106; 'Umdat al-Salik, o8.1, pg. 595)
Next: Shariah permits the murder of non-Muslims (Jews and Christians) and one's own children, with no legal consequences. This is why some Muslim fathers who've killed their daughters in the U.S. can claim they've done "nothing wrong." (See 'Umdat al-Salik o1.2(1-4), pg. 583-4)
Finally: every bit of this would be considered "Slander" under Islamic law - which is defined as anything that would be offensive to a Muslim. Telling the turth about shariah to infidels probably qualifies. And Slander carries the death penalty, for Muslims and non-Muslims alike. ('Umdat al-Salik, r2.0, pg. 730+). Ask Theo van Gogh.
None of this is "Canonical Law", is it? It's not Halakha either. That's because shariah legislates behavior in every single sphere of life - not just the religious or the devotional....all of it.
Shariah and the U.S. Constitution cannot co-exist in harmony. One or the other must prevail. Me, I'm for the Constitution.

Imam Feisal Abdel Rauf claims that the U.S. constitution is Sharia compliant. Now let us examine below a few laws of Sharia to see how truthful Imam Rauf is:
1- Jihad, defined as “to war against non-Muslims to establish the religion,” is the duty of every Muslim and Muslim head of state (Caliph). Muslim Caliphs who refuse jihad are in violation of Sharia and unfit to rule.
2- A Caliph can hold office through seizure of power meaning through force.
3- A Caliph is exempt from being charged with serious crimes such as murder, adultery, robbery, theft, drinking and in some cases of rape.
4- A percentage of Zakat (charity money) must go towards jihad.
5- It is obligatory to obey the commands of the Caliph, even if he is unjust.
6- A caliph must be a Muslim, a non-slave and a male.
7- The Muslim public must remove the Caliph if he rejects Islam.
8- A Muslim who leaves Islam must be killed immediately.
9- A Muslim will be forgiven for murder of: 1) an apostate 2) an adulterer 3) a highway robber. Vigilante street justice and honor killing is acceptable.
10- A Muslim will not get the death penalty if he kills a non-Muslim, but will get it for killing a Muslim.
11- Sharia never abolished slavery, sexual slavery and highly regulates it. A master will not be punished for killing his slave.
12- Sharia dictates death by stoning, beheading, amputation of limbs, flogging even for crimes of sin such as adultery.
13- Non-Muslims are not equal to Muslims under the law. They must comply to Islamic law if they are to remain safe. They are forbidden to marry Muslim women, publicly display wine or pork, recite their scriptures or openly celebrate their religious holidays or funerals. They are forbidden from building new churches or building them higher than mosques. They may not enter a mosque without permission. A non-Muslim is no longer protected if he leads a Muslim away from Islam.
14- It is a crime for a non-Muslim to sell weapons to someone who will use them against Muslims. Non-Muslims cannot curse a Muslim, say anything derogatory about Allah, the Prophet, or Islam, or expose the weak points of Muslims. But Muslims can curse non-Muslims.
15- A non-Muslim cannot inherit from a Muslim.
16- Banks must be Sharia compliant and interest is not allowed.
17- No testimony in court is acceptable from people of low-level jobs, such as street sweepers or bathhouse attendants. Women in low level jobs such as professional funeral mourners cannot keep custody of their children in case of divorce.
18- A non-Muslim cannot rule — even over a non-Muslim minority.
19- Homosexuality is punishable by death.
20- There is no age limit for marriage of girls. The marriage contract can take place anytime after birth and can be consummated at age 8 or 9.
21- Rebelliousness on the part of the wife nullifies the husband’s obligation to support her, gives him permission to beat her and keep her from leaving the home.
22- Divorce is only in the hands of the husband and is as easy as saying: “I divorce you” and becomes effective even if the husband did not intend it.
23- There is no community property between husband and wife and the husband’s property does not automatically go to the wife after his death.
24- A woman inherits half what a man inherits.
25- A man has the right to have up to 4 wives and none of them have a right to divorce him — even if he is polygamous.
26- The dowry is given in exchange for the woman’s sexual organs.
27- A man is allowed to have sex with slave women and women captured in battle, and if the enslaved woman is married her marriage is annulled.
28- The testimony of a woman in court is half the value of a man.
29- A woman loses custody if she remarries.
30- To prove rape, a woman must have 4 male witnesses.
31- A rapist may only be required to pay the bride-money (dowry) without marrying the rape victim.
32- A Muslim woman must cover every inch of her body, which is considered “Awrah,” a sexual organ. Not all Sharia schools allow the face of a woman exposed.
33- A Muslim man is forgiven if he kills his wife at the time he caught her in the act of adultery. However, the opposite is not true for women, since the man “could be married to the woman he was caught with.”
34-It is obligatory for a Muslim to lie if the purpose is obligatory. That means that for the sake of abiding with Islam’s commandments, such as jihad, a Muslim is obliged to lie and should not have any feelings of guilt or shame associated with this kind of lying.
The above are clear-cut laws in Islam decided by great Imams after years of examination and interpretation of the Quran, Hadith and Mohammed’s life. Now let the learned Imam Rauf tell us: What part of the above is compliant with the U.S. Constitution?
