I thought I was prepared about six months ago... but who can really prepare for something like THIS ? Christians hope that the Rapture will come before this stuff does, but we ought all be prepared to some extent, IMHO.
On March 1, 2016, Admiral Michael S. Rogers, U.S. Navy, Commander, U.S. Cyber Command, Director, National Security Agency/Chief, Central Security Service, was a keynote speaker, one of many the Obama administration rolled out at the 2016 RSA Conference, in order to push for more cooperation by the tech industry with government agencies, but Rogers’ warnings and predictions should be enough to convince even the most skeptical among us that a “lights out” scenario as well as a massive cyber attack on financial institutions, is not a “conspiracy” or “doom and gloom,” but is an eventuality.
The warnings and predictions Rogers makes come from having access to the most detailed information available, and he states clearly that it is “only a matter of the when, not the if, you are going to see a nation state, a group or actor engage in destructive behavior against critical infrastructure in the United States.”
Rogers continues on to reference the December 23, 2015 event in Ukraine where an actor pentrated the Ukraine power grid and took large segments of it offline.
According to Ars Technica this first-ever hacker caused power outage, using highly destructive malware dubbed “Black Energy” signals a “troubling escalation” in cyber attack capabilities. Reports indicate that hundreds of thousands were left without power from that attack.

“It’s a milestone because we’ve definitely seen targeted destructive events against energy before—oil firms, for instance—but never the event which causes the blackout,” John Hultquist, head of iSIGHT’s cyber espionage intelligence practice, told Ars. “It’s the major scenario we’ve all been concerned about for so long.”Rogers continues on to the strategies the cyber attackers used, where the goal was not just to knock out the power grid but to watch the response and to learn how to slow down that response to restore power.

According to ESET, the Ukrainian power authorities were infected using booby-trapped macro functions embedded in Microsoft Office documents. If true, it’s distressing that industrial control systems used to supply power to millions of people could be infected using such a simple social-engineering ploy. It’s also concerning that malware is now being used to create power failures that can have life-and-death consequences for large numbers of people.
He then states “Seven weeks ago it was the Ukraine. That isn’t the last we are going to see of this. That worries me.”
The eventual attacks against the U.S. power grid is not Rogers only concern as he then speaks about “data theft” and the potential to cripple the nation’s financial institutions as he asks “what happens when that same activity is used to manipulate data or manipulate software or products and suddenly we can no longer trust the data we are visually seeing?”
“What are going to do as a society when you go to your bank account, and the numbers don’t match what you think is reality?”, Rogers asks. “What do you do if you are a business and the financial transactions you have created, that you’re seeing don’t reflect what you believe reality is?”
The third and final area that concerns Rogers is “to date, most non-state actors have viewed cyber as a tool to recruit, to spread ideology, to generate revenue, to coordinate widely dispersed individuals. What happens when some of those same actors use cyber as a tool for destruction?”
The quoted statements referenced above come at about the 28:45 minute mark when he details his big three concerns going forward.
Because we at ANP believe that knowledge is key, and preparation for the type of event that Admiral Rogers tells us is coming, is critical to surviving not just a lights out scenario but any type of “event” where food will be scarce, grocery store shelves empty and basic necessities unavailable, below the video is another set of links to sites that offer tips on prepping.

Hello Friends, Readers and fellow Believers !
I finally got my PC fixed at the shop and 'back in the saddle again' -- also busy, happy even in this hard rain today. It has occurred to me that somethings, as smart as I thought I was... LOL, will never be defined, explained, clear to me, this side of earthly life... for instance women. My current prospective is that I was wrong about MANY things in the past, in relationships, and some of my challenge is rooted in the way I was brought up, although I loved my parents --- and think they did the best they could. I still stand accountable for all of my actions, and know well that I shall have to stand before my Judge, Father God, in the end, and answer for all of my actions. Up there, PTSD, Vietnam, and everything else will fall to the side trash can, and I will be "naked" indeed, before the Lord. Having said that, we all have to move on and continue living, paying the rent, etc. .with the Holy Spirit helping us ! ! Yes, the H.S. [Holy Spirit] is my real source of strength, and still I mess up, imperfect, sinner that I am. I certainly look forward to the Rapture, but I MUST work harder in the Gospel ministry !! I know that God loves me a lot, as He saved me in combat, Army- Vietnam, so many times, as a helicopter door gunner, Hueys: 68-70, plus many motorcycle and truck accidents where I "should have been dead" to the 10th power !! Broken neck, 12 ribs, and many other fractures, and now with steel stank in my lower leg too. Thank You, Lord, for Saving me so many times ! Now set me on the right course road to do YOUR Will, please. It is the H.S. that allows we Christians to 'bring out the knowledge in the brain' that we put in there by listening to good, biblical sermons and reading/ studying the Bible ! It was the Spirit that gave Samson his power and strength. The Spirit is very alive and works with us/ we Believers every day. And it is FREE for the asking ! We get the Spirit after we confess Jesus as our personal Lord and Savior, and it stays with us forever, unless we choose to drive it out/ away.... 'by sinning against the Spirit.' Don't ever do that ! ! ! There is NO recovery from such folly!
The article below is another good one that teaches and admonishes us to get going, now !! Life seems so much better when we give of our time, energy, power, and wisdom, to help others learn the truth of the Gospel.... Mathew, Mark, Luke, John, and Romans. If a person of average intelligence reads these 5 books of the bible, they will have a good understanding of the life of Jesus Christ, and can effectively start sharing this Good News of the Gospel with others. It's all about desire to do the right thing, by first filling your head and heart with the Gospel, and then sharing it with others. I also use small bible tracts that I keep in my wallet, to had out to people in my everyday life to further the order that Jesus gave us, in the book of Matthew.
Sadly, most Christians who are well studied and have the Spirit.... know that things will NOT get better in the future. But they will get worse no matter who becomes the next president... sorry, folks. Yet, at the same time, we can be filled with love, joy, peace, kindness, goodness, self control, etc, from the Spirit, because we know that no matter what goes down, WE ARE SAVED and going to Heaven !
This also means that we ought to set a good example, and not soil our good name or character.

Powered by the Holy Spirit
Over the past seven years, Americans have been told over and over again that they are not good people. The "president" has lectured Christians at the expense of Islamic brutality; he has told us repeatedly what we are not; he has championed greater division between cultures and colors of citizens; he has allowed an invasion of millions of illegals. Christians in America have been demonized to the point that the "president" lumped them in with violent right wing extremists in his first major report from Homeland Security. Christians have been ridiculed for believing in creation, that life begins at conception, that marriage is between a man and a woman. Our dignity, honor and belief system have been under attack.
But there is one thing that no "president," no political system, no culture war, no struggle between the classes, no forced healthcare or Islamic terrorist can take away from us--The Holy Spirit. Jesus said in Acts 1:8, "But you shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and you shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." Think about that--the uttermost part of the earth. 2 Timothy 1:7 says, "For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." Zechariah 4:6 says, "Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, says the LORD of hosts."
The Holy Spirit. Ruach Ha Kodesh. You are powered by the Holy Spirit. No election, no depression, no oppression, no darkness can usurp that power, unless you yield it. During this dark time in our nation, we need to exercise our Holy Spirit power. Notice the Lord said to receive the Holy Spirit and then be witnesses first in Jerusalem, then expanding out to Judaea and Samaria, then unto the uttermost part of the earth. He didn't say to be witnesses in the church pew, then inside the church's self improvement program, and then inside the church's conference on self improvement. He was telling us to receive the Holy Spirit and engage with the world, not draw back from it.
Pew Research says that US adults who say they believe in God has declined since 2007 from approximately 92% to 89% in 2014. Americans who say they are "absolutely certain" God exists has dropped more sharply, from 71% in 2007 to 63% in 2014." Even so, we are in a vast, vast majority. If we as Christians were fully engaged, our American society would never have to worry about having an evil president, or bad stewardship or leadership. We are told in Ephesians 5:8 to "walk as children of light." Romans 13:12 tells us to "put on the armor of light." And Ephesians 6:17 says to take the "sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God" and verse 20 tells us "that therein I may speak boldly as I ought to speak." We as Christians are powered by the Holy Spirit. You are powered by the Holy Spirit. Together we can change the world.
