Don't you just love it when a well laid plan [either on paper, or just in your mind] comes together, is a done deal and reality ? Smile. So, I got the haircut that I said I would, but the goofy barber dumped most of the hair and clippings all over ME and my T-shirt instead of on the floor... duh. As I opened the truck window I noticed that so much hair, etc., done flew out the window.... so maybe I need to clean my truck now too. Like I've said a few times, way U.P. here close to Canada, things are so laid back that they seem a bit 'backwards.' And it used to be a 'crime free Paradise,' but now even crime is moving in, with too much illegal drugs and that brings theft, too. You can't have one without the other, and soon we might see prostitution, too. Fare well, Eden !
But please, I needed that short diversion from all the non-stop politics in the air.... so let me breathe.
Below is some very refreshing perspective from a wise man, not a 'wise guy,' about what we should pray for. And a little bit of history, even JFK ! Remember: 'we are not electing a preacher to some church in town --- but the best, most honest, smartest MAN to POTUS !' Another way to look at things, dear friends and readers, is that, 'God WILL certainly get His job done, one way or another, but we all bear some sort of community responsibility !' It's just too bad that most people in America don't understand how BLESSED they are to even have some say-so in voting for whom they want to be President !! Why in the heck do you even think that Soldiers and Marines THINK the way they do ??? I am going to be voting even if I have both of my legs broke ! OK, I know it sounds like I am beating a drum again, but in my life time, I have never felt like so much is at stake as is right now in 2016 !
On the other hand, maybe you all want to be like those poor folks in New Orleans, LA., as the hurricane Katrina struck and flooded who neighborhoods, as people were still waiting for the Democratic party to bus them away... LOL ! Ha! Yes, I do think it's a big JOKE ! How many times do you have to be screwed, blue, and crapped on before YOU GET IT ?? So.... I know that I worry TOO much, but I don't want to be sold down the river and end up in hell because I listened to the wrong 'snake oil flim- flam man !' That's right ! I watched the 'Wizard of Oz,' too.

BTW, the price of "Metals" -- Gold, Silver, etc., is going UP !! Read 'em and weep! I am just glad that I got in 'under the wire,' this last time a few days ago.... Ha! But all real investors know about DCA -- "Dollar Cost Averaging." That means a long term investor buys every month, rain or shine, and then it all seems to average out in time, for the good. And if meet some of those goofy, negative bums in your life who say stupid things about investing, about the uncertainty of life.... they are the same bums who have never, ever read the Bible, or did anything constructive in their lives except get drunk every payday ! ! It's true that we don't have to be rich to be happy, but the Scriptures say a lot about working hard, working "smart" and investing money wisely ! Just read the book of Proverbs.
Also, sorry to burst your bubble, but it's just a little bit late to start investing NOW ! But.... it's never too late to pray, ask forgiveness and tell someone that you are sorry for hurting them. Especially, God and Jesus. There is so much Power and Glory in the name of Jesus ! I know... it sounds kind of redundant and 'too simple,' but lately I have personally felt that Power in me.
Men get old, sort of set in their ways, despondent, depressed, besieged by demons and hurtful men and crabby, greedy, selfish, women, etc. And that all wears down on them, killing them bit by bit, day by day. The one great song in particular: "A mighty fortress is our God," gives me the shivers and enamors me, so much. I will hunt for it now on my P.C. Personal Computer.
After I got my great haircut this morning, I went shopping to buy a few things, like fresh fruit, and some Mexican food. So when I off loaded it, as I use a cane to walk, I grabbed about 6 different plastic bags of groceries in one hand and panted after I got them inside of the huge house I rent, and that was great ! I am eating a lot less these days, and a bit dizzy, but I must lose the weight one way or another. I am just not that hungry anymore, so many something is working. I got some pears, green grapes and strawberries, etc., too. But, you know, I am sure that SOME BODY OUT THERE IS STILL GOING TO FIND FAULT at what I do, eat, buy or what ever. But after a very hot, soapy, shampooed shower just now, I feel GREAT !
I think I might use about one tank of gas per every two weeks or so, and I drive almost daily. I love what God has given me, and seek to do His Will. Would my close friends please pray that I can keep up in my 'Ministry of Sorts' -- handing out "Bible Tracts, Inc." and telling them about the Gospel of Jesus Christ ? Thanks !

ON THIS WEEK'S "HAL LINDSEY REPORT"
With, arguably, the most critical election in America's history just days away, our current President, Barack Obama, may be on the verge of a test like few other world leaders have ever known. In fact, it may have already begun. Recently, Russian President Vladimir Putin shocked the world when he sent a naval task force toward Syria -- through the English Channel! It was an obvious show of strength and belligerence against the West.
Seven Russian warships escorted Russia's only aircraft carrier right through the famous Strait of Dover, within sight of the storied white cliffs.
By sending the carrier group to Syria, Putin is strengthening his presence in the Middle East. The Russian and American militaries are both active in Syria, but make no mistake, Russia is in charge.
The Russian task force joins warships from Russia's Black Sea fleet that have been dispatched to the Mediterranean carrying nuclear-capable missiles.
Russia has also sent nuclear-capable Iskander-M missiles to the region bordering Poland and hundreds of paratroopers for military exercises in Egypt. They have suspended three separate nuclear agreements with the United States.
Last summer, President Putin warned journalists that "the world is being pulled in an irreversible direction."
The Russians have also just completed a "nuclear war drill" that involved 40 million people practicing ways to survive atomic war.
Is Putin actually preparing for war with the United States? Is he sending a message to President Obama? How will the President handle increasing Russian aggression in the waning days of his administration?
That's his big test.
But there's an even bigger question. Why? Why is Putin testing Obama and why now?
Although President Obama is already considered a "lame duck" President -- since he cannot serve another term -- after Tuesday's election, his lame duck status grows even more acute.
Is Putin testing Obama to see if he will wilt under the pressure of a nuclear ultimatum? And if Putin decides he will, then Obama and the United States may get a nuclear ultimatum, and probably before the end of the year.
It will be disguised as something else, but it will be real.
With this President, Putin may see an opportunity for a world-changing moment. He seems to be testing Obama's resolve right now. If he fails the test, it may invite nuclear blackmail or even World War III.
In 1962, God used a profane, deceptive, and womanizing President to save civilization as we know it. His name was John F. Kennedy.
That moment of truth became known as the "Cuban Missile Crisis."
At the time, most Americans understood that the U.S. and the Soviet Union were on the brink of nuclear war. We now know that they were closer than anyone at the time realized.
Information discovered after the collapse of the Soviet Union revealed that the commanders on the ground in Cuba already had battlefield nuclear weapons and were authorized to use them if necessary.
Some of Kennedy's top military advisers encouraged him to make an all-out assault on the nascent Soviet military sites on the island. Had he done so, it would have triggered the use of those weapons and the nuclear dominoes would have fallen fast all over the world.
But for the hand of God in that crisis, you and I would probably not be here today.
We now know that the choices President Kennedy made in that critical time were influenced by a book called The Guns of August. It was Barbara Tuchman's examination of the events and decisions that triggered World War I.
We also now know that Ms. Tuchman's historical assertions were largely incorrect in that book, based on new information about Germany discovered in recent years.
However, even though her history was wrong, the lessons she taught were perfect for President Kennedy in 1962.
There was tremendous danger in showing weakness, so the President couldn't let the Soviets establish nuclear launch platforms in Cuba. But in resisting the Soviets, he couldn't let a mistake trigger a sequence of events that would have caused the world to descend into nuclear chaos.
So he took a middle ground and imposed a naval blockade of Cuba. Long story short, it worked.
God used an imperfect man and a history book with a flawed thesis to prevent a war that would have devastated the planet.
In the early 60s, Americans understood the nuclear threat and Christians prayed for Kennedy on a regular basis. When that book fell into his hands, it was an answer to prayer.
Even if you think a President -- or other leader -- is wrong on every issue, the Bible admonishes us to pray for that person. There is powerful evidence, both Biblical and historical, that God's intention is for us to pray for our leaders so that we may lead "a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity." (I Timothy 2:2 NASB)
In a few days, we will be given the opportunity to choose our next group of national, state, and local leaders. In our time, when the alternative to peace is so unthinkable, our incentive to pray doubles.
The Bible doesn't say you have to approve of the leaders' policies. It says, unequivocally, to pray for them. Pray that they will see the light where they are wrong and repent. Pray they will be given wisdom and good judgment. Don't pray for the success of wrong or sinful policies, but do pray for the men and women who lead us.
Pray for the upcoming election. Pray that those elected will have an awareness of God; and that they will find good advisers with godly morals. Pray that God will send His Word into all their lives -- now more than ever.
We have entered one of the most dangerous periods in world history. So vote! And pray!
Also on this week's program, I will discuss the recent UNESCO resolution that denies Israel's historic connection to the Temple Mount and the Wailing Wall!
Unbelievable!
As Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu observed, "To say Israel has no connection to the Temple Mount and the Western Wall is like saying that China has no connection to the Great Wall of China or that Egypt has no connection to the Pyramids!"
It appears obvious that UNESCO did this to appease Muslim extremists. In fact, UNESCO executive board members France, Greece, Italy, Spain, and Sweden all voted to "abstain."
Have they no courage? No respect for history and the truth? Or the Christian Bible on which the best parts of their civilizations are built? Don't they realize they are not just throwing away Jewish heritage, but the heritage of all Western nations?
The sad truth is that each of the abstaining countries has large, often violent, Muslim minorities and they don't want to upset them.
Islamic powers within the United Nations, with help from many of the world's elites (think George Soros and his ilk), are attempting to erase all connections between Jews and the Holy Land. Even worse, they are attempting to sever ties between Western civilization and its Judeo-Christian roots.
All of these events fit perfectly into the scenario for these final days described by the Bible's ancient prophets.
Finally, on this week's program I am going to continue my discussion of the Rapture of the Church. As I have noted previous, this future event is described in the Bible as the believer's "blessed hope," especially in view of the dangers exploding all around us.
I will focus on the differences between those believers who hold a "Pre-tribulation Rapture" viewpoint and those who hold to the "Post-tribulation Rapture" theory.
