Just a side note, first.... about the TV pictures of what the hurricane did to the Island nation of the Bahamas...Wow ! The place was "leveled" and the stink of death is quite overwhelming ! It's like a war time experience, IMHO. And how can poor people even prepare from something of this sort? Again, friends, Money gives people an OPTION to move in a different direction/ to take a different tack. And the Bible bears that idea out, too. However, everyone on earth will still grow old and die, some day. For instance, when we look at the News paper [and UP where we live, the News and reporting is more truthful, balanced and fair] has the daily accounts of folks who just die of sickness, old age, and accidents, many of which are much younger than I am. I don't put a lot of emphasis on longevity and years that a person lives, because I have seen some HORRIBLE places to "live", even up where we live in the pristine, cleaner environment of upper Michigan State where most folks are more kind and civilized --- compared to the 'Big Cities' filled with drugs and crime.
I was forced to spend some recuperative time healing at a near by Rehab facility that was also an 'Old Age Home' where I saw the stark reality of 'Warehousing' old residents who didn't have much money to go to better places. What a sour, depressing event for me -- and them! Most folks there were so old, sick and demented so we could not even carry on a simple conversation ! I was so lonely and bored, and the head nurse was a female, dictator from hell... LOL. Like the movie: "One flew over the Coocoo's [bird] nest." [sp?] I had tons of time to study my Bible, poetry, and other subjects...Ha! Visitors of mine were so precious and special. The food was terrible, all the time, at a place near Powers, MI. It was the nearest place that seemed like a prison -- but then I have never been to a prison or jail house ---so please forgive my weak comparisons.
My diabetic diet is coming along OK, but I am being tempted to eat some sweets and carbs. At least my stomach doesn't hurt as much at this point. I have to 'fine-tune' it so that I lose weight and my big gut faster. I just quit drinking and eating the wrong stuff the minute I learned that it was all wrong and counter-productive! The 'Wake Up Call' was loud and clear. But as I said from the onset/ start, it's NOT about living the longest, but with full meaning, vision, understanding and dignity. Where is the dignity in the thousands of dead stinking bodies in the Bahamas right now? And the USA has it's hands full of disasters right at home in America. Imagine a REAL, huge, disaster... oh my.
But according to the Bible, that day is coming, too. Prepare, Prep, and get ready while still paying our daily intake of bills and just living every day.
Prayers requested again, for my Navy retired friend in the Philippines, Greg L, who has just learned about his own bout with Leukemia.
As for my family, we are already starting to get ready for Winter ! The weather is already turning cool. Have a great day.

- The name "Antichrist" is only found in 1 John 2:18, 2:22, 4:3, and 2 John 7. The Apostle John was the only Bible writer to use the name Antichrist. Studying these verses, we learn that many antichrists (false teachers) will appear between the time of Christ's first and Second Coming , but there will be one great Antichrist who will rise to power during the end times, or "last hour," as 1 John phrases it.
- About the Antichrist. The Antichrist is the opposite of Christ. Just as Christ came to earth to do God’s will; the Antichrist will come to do the will of Satan. He will be Satan manifest in the form of man. Satan’s whole ambition is to be like God in power and might, and he works for this with all of his might, night and day.
- To believe an untruth about the antichrist could cause a person to be deceived. What should a person do when new Bible teachings are encountered? “These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so” (Acts 17:11).
- The Antichrist (Lucifer) will not appear in the same manner that Jesus appears. Jesus and the Father will not touch the Earth at the Second Coming. Instead, they will hover above the Earth and as Earth rotates beneath them, every eye will see them on a glorious throne.
