Hi Friends,
As the old motto goes.... 'He joined the Navy to see the world,'  but we Army and Marines have also 'been around the block' a few times!  I wanted to visit Germany so much when I was in graded school and read many books about those places, when young, and also listened to my Dad's war stories and places/ people of interest.  Actually, I was one inquisitive boy with a passion for learning and reading.  But don't be confused because growing up in Milwaukee, WI., and on our family farm in Racine County, Wisconsin meant hard work and responsibility.  I got big shoulders from tossing 75 pound bales of hay, straw, and shoveling wheat, oats and corn, etc., also milking cows and other farm chores before and after school, back in the 1960's.
And we never went hungry on the farm with our own orchard, huge veggie gardens and produce, plus having our own beef cattle slaughtered and into our 2-- huge chest freezers, and Mom canned many things putting in long, hot, sweaty hours.   I sure do miss Mom a lot!
My dear, hard working wife, Loretta, now has a hurtful, sore, bad back, amid other complaints of pain and she cannot take anything harder than aspirin because those pain killers make her stomach sick and sore, so we study about healing herbs, etc.  I know that we both pray a lot, and hope for divine intervention [please, Oh Lord].

"Never be the first or last to try or get into something,"  like quality investments, food, enterprises, products, etc.  I try to diversify my blog posts to share a number/ variety of interesting subjects to satisfy my many readers.   And just a little bit of research on your part will reveal all my readers from many different countries all over the world, which I sometimes post on this very blog.  However, the old saying, "Don't polish the brass on a sinking ship" --- should peak your interest, friends, because we all need to understand our priorities while we live on planet earth.  Many of us will only get one chance to live on earth, because there IS another life that awaits us.... and the KJV Bible and Almighty God can never lie!  See Titus 1: 2., and Hebrews 6: 18.   And you would do well to write those 2-- Scriptures down and memorize them.   But just THINK, please.... 'If this present life on earth is only temporary and no man or woman has ever lived beyond 1000 years, we ought to give eternity a fair shake and investigate NOW!  I am not dealing with emotion here, but LOGIC and INTELLIGENCE.  If we are taught in school to invest and save for our retirement [after which we cannot work anymore for a number of reasons...], why would we dismiss the idea of an 'after life' existence, ie:  heaven or hell?  Or do you just feel 'lucky' today, duh?  Let me put it to you all, mildly,  I am NOT a gambler, except to say maybe some of my investments, and I am pretty careful with them, too.

'Seek God while He may yet be found!'  And even though God's [Yahweh] is very generous, loving, merciful and patient with all of us,  there is certainly a limit to His Mercy!   And He has allowed this last 'experiment' with humankind to last 6K years --- since our original parents, Adam and Eve [not Adam and Steve], so that the "End Times" are almost here, when His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, will soon mount up with His huge Army of Saints to 'set things right' on Earth.  And "I want to be in their number -- when those Saints come marching in." [an old song...].   And since we can never by our own efforts  EARN our way into Heaven, or Paradise, we need to read, study, and obey the Bible and Father God, now.  Although we can never be perfect this side of heaven, we can learn to obey and also gain forgiveness thru Jesus' ransom blood sacrifice on Calvary outside the city gates of Jerusalem some 1900 years ago.    As a 'perfect man lost Paradise for all of us in the Garden of Eden, according to Genesis --- it would take another PERFECT MAN -- Jesus, to get Paradise and true Forgiveness back for us.    BTW,  please learn the distinct difference between these 2-- words:  "Calvary-- the place/ location where our Christ was put to death in the 1st Century A.D.   And the other term that is often confused by lazy, ignorant people:  Cavalry -- mounted Soldiers on horses or armored vehicles, like Armored Tanks, APC's, and other track vehicles.

So, in the meantime, why don't we learn how to plant vegetable seeds, and also learn how to can/ preserve foods that we buy or pick/ harvest?  I promise that you won't be sorry for all your knowledge and hard work.

Warm Regards,
Thomas G Schuckman

Below is my wife, Sharon, who passed away about 12 years ago from genetic, congested heart failure.  My present wife, Loretta Schuckman, is also very talented and canned a lot of stored meat, etc., just yesterday.   I am so proud of Loretta!  She is a "Keeper!"

When the Freeze Dried Food is Gone

What happens when you have eaten through all your supplies of dehydrated, canned, and stored food? Even the most optimistic among us should not begin eating on your stores of food without giving a thought as to what comes next. What if the next emergency lasts two years?

When your freeze dried food or packaged foods and stockpiles of hard red winter wheat are gone, you will have to have a plan for keeping your family fed. Not only do you have to worry about where the food will come from, but there won’t be any nutritional labels anymore if we are “eating off the land”.

Thinking about food differently than what we have been used to, for what have amounted to decades of prosperity in the United States is not always easy. Maintaining a proper balance of food may be difficult or even impossible.

What if you are barely able to get enough food to survive?
