Happy July 4th, dear Friends!
I keep telling all of my friends and family --- 'I waited all of the cold Winter for this steamy, hot sun, and now I am not going to waste it!' My mantra: Mr. Sun is my good friend and he makes my skin and body look and feel good ! And I like to do all my Summer painting and woodworking outside as it gives me peace and composure, time to think, and THANK MY CREATOR, YAHWEH, my heavenly Father. The term, "GOD" is not just an 'indefinite pronoun' or shadowy figure and remote --- but a personal Lord and Creator who loves and protects me !
And it should be that way for every human on earth, but Satan the devil works overtime to mess things up, yes, 'the father of lies.' We can legally tell him to 'go to hell' along with all of his demons. The KJV Bible says that he dragged ONE THIRD of all the angels in heaven after him in rebellion, but a severe 'punishment' awaits them all! And all of this dog manure started in the Garden of Eden with the simple question of: "Should mankind have the right to rule and govern themselves, away from Father God's wisdom and protection?" And so we are here today-- 6000 years later, on the brink of destroying the entire human race with all of our hatred and prejudices, with Satan constantly stirring the pot, armed with all sorts of nuclear weapons and deadly chemical warfare, including sicknesses, designer diseases, and viruses! When God had such love and vision---wanting to help mankind live in a total Paradise Earth from the very beginning! Do the Leftists, Communists and Anarchists have the same vision, too?? Shake your head, "NO!" Satan was given the important job of helping the human race develop, but he wanted WORSHIP that was reserved only for Father God in heaven! And so he MADE himself Satan the devil. BTW, all words have meanings: Satan means, Rebel or resister. And devil means, 'Slanderer.' He was once a beautiful angel who turned himself into Satan and the father of the lie. The Bible says that he and his demons will soon be rounded up and thrown into a dark prison in a deep abyss for 1000 years, and then destroyed forever in the 'lake of fire.' See: Revelation.
Sorry friends, but the truth is that even the Pope in Rome is also a Socialist, and we wonder, a Christian who loves the Bible....duh? Say, "NO!" But even younger Christian folks can understand the KJV Bible which is written on a 5th grade reading level.... but the Holy Spirit helps us understand it. Do all of YOU have the Holy Spirit inside you? If your heart is pure and honest, all you have to do to get the Holy Spirit in you is to ASK FOR HIM in Jesus' name. But the Democrats would also love to put a TAX on that action, too....LOL. I would bet that most of my readers are stand up, good Conservative people who work hard and have an honest heart.... like the great people of Norway!
But when you get to be my age, 71--- knocking on heaven's door and closer to the grave, you suddenly have a little time to reflect on your past life and accomplishments and also some near-death experiences. I SHOULD HAVE BEEN DEAD many times over, but I firmly believe that my Lord saved me all those times so that He could use me to do His work of sharing the Gospel to so many other humans. But remember: We simple cannot work our way into heaven or by any merits of our labors and/ or 'good deeds.' It's all about 'Grace' ...or another way of putting it: 'Undeserved Kindness.' So as none of us may boast that we got there on our own accord. It was the action and sacrifice of Jesus dying in agony on the Cross some 1900 years ago outside of Jerusalem that bought our freedom from hell !
And today, Americans celebrate their Freedom as a Nation, 7-4-2020, so many years ago, by true Patriots in the 17th Century, 1775, on the East Coast, mainly. But today too many 'young- dummies' supported by the low life, George Soros, and the Dems, plus some swamp dwelling RINO's who are trying to tear down our History, precious artifacts and historic statues and monuments all over the USA. We hope that they will be caught and pay the price for their malicious. spoiled, childlike actions and tantrums, with people like Nancy Pelosi encouraging them. Shame on her and all the rest of her ilk! All of her bragged about ice cream should be given to the poor! My dear wife, Lori, and I joke about Nancy's 2-- huge freezers full of expensive ice cream and how childish she acted on TV, showing it off amid most of America suffering from the effects of the China-virus at the time. Shame! Ha! Her and Biden would make a good team... lol.... as they are both delusional and goofy.

Hope Under Fire

America is awash in spirituality. Yet spiritual hunger continues to grow exponentially. That's because spirituality that is not anchored in truth does not satisfy. Satan rarely bothers to attack spirituality. In fact, he usually encourages it. One of his great goals is to fulfill the prophecy about people in the "last days" given in 2 Timothy 3:5. It says they will have "a form of godliness but denying its power."
He wants people to spout spiritual platitudes but ignore what God has to say. Why? Because the word of God bridges the gap between the mind of God and the mind of man. Through His word, God's thoughts flow to human minds. Satan wants to block that bridge.
In Genesis 3:1, Satan asked Eve, "Has God indeed said, 'You shall not eat of every tree of the garden?'"
"Has God indeed said" remains at the heart of his attack on humanity to this day. In verse 4, Satan's attack goes further - this time directly contradicting God's words. "Then the serpent said to the woman, 'You will not surely die.'"
The wonder of the ages is that God has spoken to human beings. The title of a book by Francis Schaeffer says it perfectly - He Is There and He Is Not Silent. Since His words convey His thoughts to our minds, that's where Satan concentrates his fire.
And today, as never before, the Bible is under assault. Even evangelical Christian ministers are denying major parts of the Bible. One of the world's most influential preachers said the Church needs to "unhitch itself from the Old Testament." While we should always emphasize the difference between law and grace, we have to remember that it is the Old Testament which verifies the New Testament. Jesus didn't just pop in out of the blue. The Old Testament talked about Him for thousands of years in advance of His coming. The Old Testament was His calling card. We can't unhitch the Old Testament without undermining the New Testament.
In Jeremiah 6:16, God said, "Thus says the Lord, 'Stand by the ways and see and ask for the ancient paths, Where the good way is, and walk in it; And you shall find rest for your souls.'"
In times like these, the whole world needs "rest for your souls." We will find it in the ancient path laid out by God in both the Old and New Testaments. Isaiah 2:5 implores Israel. "Come, house of Jacob, and let us walk in the light of the Lord."
Psalm 119:105 says, "Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path."
You will find peace, comfort, joy, and power in God's revelation of Himself, and you will find that revelation in the Bible. In Isaiah 30:21, God says, "And your ears will hear a word behind you, 'This is the way, walk in it.'" In John 14:6, Jesus told us exactly what that means. He said, "I am the way."
In Mark 13:31, Jesus said, "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away."
In a time when everything seems to be changing, God reminds us of something that does not change - His Word. Heaven and earth will pass away, but His Word will not pass away. That's something to which we can anchor our lives, our hopes, and all our tomorrows. That's an anchor the whole world desperately needs right now.
