Asparagus -- Who knew? From a friend – My Mom had been taking the full-stalk canned style asparagus, pureed it and took 4 tablespoons in the morning and 4 tablespoons later in the day. She did this for over a month. She is on chemo pills for Stage 3 lung cancer in the pleural area and her cancer cell count went from 386 down to 125 as of this past week. Her oncologist said she will not need to see him for 3 months. THE ARTICLE: Several years ago I met a man seeking asparagus for a friend who had cancer. He gave me a copy of an article, entitled "Asparagus For Cancer" printed in the Cancer News Journal, December 1979.  I will share it here, just as it was shared with me: I am a biochemist, and have specialized in the relation of diet to health or over 50 years. Several years ago, I learned of the discovery of Richard R. Vensal, D.D.S. that asparagus might cure cancer. Since then, I have worked with him on his project.  We have accumulated a number  of favorable case histories.  Here are a few examples: Case No. 1, A man with an almost hopeless case of Hodgkin's disease (cancer of the lymph glands) who was completely incapacitated. Within 1 year of starting the asparagus therapy, his doctors were unable to detect any signs of cancer, and he was back on a schedule of strenuous exercise.    Case No. 2, A successful businessman, 68 years old, suffered from cancer of the bladder for 16 years. After years of medical treatments, including radiation without improvement, he began taking asparagus. Within 3  months, examinations revealed that his bladder tumor had disappeared and that his kidneys were normal. Case No. 3, On March 5th 1971, a man who had lung cancer was put on the operating table where they found lung cancer so widely spread that it was inoperable. The surgeon sewed him up and declared his case hopeless. On April 5th he heard about the Asparagus  therapy and immediately started taking it.  By August,  x-ray pictures revealed that all signs of the cancer had disappeared.  He is now back at his regular business routine. Case No. 4, A woman had been troubled for a number of years with skin cancer. She developed different skin cancers which were diagnosed by the acting specialist as advanced. Within 3 months after beginning asparagus therapy, the skin specialist said her skin looked fine with no more skin lesions. This woman reported that the asparagus therapy also cured her kidney disease, which had started in 1949. She had over 10 operations for kidney stones, and was receiving government disability payments for an inoperable, terminal, kidney condition. She attributes the cure of this kidney trouble entirely to the asparagus treatment. I was not surprised at this result as `The elements of materia medica', edited in1854 by a Professor at the University of Pennsylvania , stated that asparagus was used as a popular remedy for kidney stones. He even referred to experiments, in 1739, on the power of asparagus in dissolving stones. Note the dates! We would have other case histories but the medical establishment has interfered with our obtaining some of the records. I am therefore appealing to readers to spread this good news and help us to gather a large number of case histories that will overwhelm the medical skeptics about this unbelievably simple and natural remedy. For the treatment, asparagus should be cooked before using.  Fresh or canned asparagus can be used. I have corresponded with the two leading caners of asparagus, Giant and Stokely, and I am satisfied that these brands contain no pesticides or preservatives.  Place the cooked asparagus in a blender and liquefy to make a puree.  Store in the refrigerator. Give the patient 4 full tablespoons twice daily, morning and evening. Patients usually show some improvement in 2-4 weeks. It can be diluted with water and used as a cold or hot drink. This suggested dosage is based on present experience, but certainly larger amounts can do no harm and may be needed in some cases.   As a biochemist I am convinced of the old saying that `what cures can prevent.' Based on this theory, my wife and I have been using asparagus puree as a beverage with our meals. We take 2 tablespoons diluted in water to suit our taste with breakfast and with dinner. I take mine hot and my wife prefers hers cold. For years we have made it a practice to have blood surveys taken as part of our regular checkups. The last blood survey, taken by a medical doctor who specializes in the nutritional approach to health, showed substantial improvements in all categories over the last one, and we can attribute these improvements to nothing but the asparagus drink. As a biochemist, I have made an extensive study of all aspects of cancer, and all of the proposed cures. As a result, I am convinced that asparagus fits in better with the latest theories about cancer. Asparagus contains a good supply of protein called histones, which are believed to be active in controlling cell growth. For that reason, I believe asparagus can be said to contain a substance that I call cell growth normalizer. That accounts for its action on cancer and in acting as a general body tonic. In any event, regardless of theory, asparagus used as we suggest, is a harmless substance. The FDA cannot prevent you from using it and it may do you much good. It has been reported by the US National Cancer Institute, that asparagus is the highest tested food containing glutathione, which is considered one of the body's most potent anticarcinogens and antioxidants. Just a side note... In case you are wondering why this has not been made public, there is no profit in curing cancer! Please send this article to everyone in your Address Book. The most unselfish act one can ever do is paying forward all the kindness one has received.

 

On my last post, the article I tried to post did not materialize...  sorry.   Too,  I did ask John McTernan's permission to post this piece, but don't know if the message came thru to him,  but I tired several times, pushing the submit button.   I always give the author all the credit of his work.  Personally,  so far,  I like his posts !

I even looked some nice motorcycles on Saturday, and visited the close local VFW place right across the street from the Cycle shop.  Part of me says "NO" to buying another motorcycle, and I saw a beautiful, black GoldWing for only $16,000 !  No more dirt bikes for me...  lol.  I only want a good "Street Bike" that is lower to the ground, but we shall see how finances and my healing left ankle feel a few month down the pike.  Any thing could happen between now and then !  

Friends,  I don't think that some mild, sensible 'Prepping' goes contrary to my firm belief in the KJV Bible and the Rapture fact.   I can show you all in Proverbs where the Ant saves and stores up food for the Winter, etc.   I don't have mountains of food and ammo stored up,  but I think that having enough on hand for a week or two is a good idea,  because as you will read here,  there are earthquakes and ice storm all over the USA these days, and I also firmly believe that America has done some cheap, hurtful acts and threats against God's favored nation, Israel !  See:  Genesis 12: 3. 
      Things get buried U.P. here in the Winter time, and besides grocery shopping and church,  I don't get out and about too much these days --- and my left ankle was broke in 3 places and dislocated on October 8th, 2014, and still hurts, even when I am just laying down in bed with the leg elevated.   That just may be another injury that I will have to live with and endure...  without complaining so much.   My wife always prods me to be more active instead of asking her for favors, to go get me some things, as it is still hard to walk, even with my cane.  Oh well,  no one wants to hear about someone else's pain and struggles for too long.  Ha!  But, just for the record,  I am disabled, and will turn age 66 on Feb. 20th, 2015.   Smile.   I have my healing Herbs and vitamins/ minerals that help me out, and I try to share that knowledge with others on this humble web site/ Blog.  
       I really enjoy getting emails and calls from YOU guys and gals, especially in the Winter.  I figure 2 more full months and the weather will get nicer, and my emotional state and well being will also get better...  Ha!  And perhaps I am just getting "Mellow" in my older age, and realize how limited I am in what I can change around me.   Soldiers don't want war, yet they train and prepare all the time!  Call me what you want,  I am my father's son, and he believed in keeping the freezer full of good food, and butchered beef, etc.  He taught me how to kill, butcher and eat the good things that the Lord provides.   I have been injured many times, yet the Lord has blessed me with enough to pay the bills, etc.   I pray for the Rapture to come soon,  but I know that only the Lord knows exactly when it will come.

Based upon what this court is doing, there is no doubt that it will force "homosexual marriage" upon the nation. The vast majority of the Christians are fast asleep or don't care. Based on what the Lord did in the past, I would expect severe judgments in April when this case is heard and then incredible judgments in June when the decision is announced. The future is very bleak for America. Officials from several state agencies said at a meeting Friday they want to make sure Connecticut is ready. About a dozen earthquakes have been recorded in the Plainfield area in little more than a week. No significant damage was reported. The Weston Observatory of Boston College says that while the greatest earthquake activity in the United States is in the west, earthquakes are "quite common" in many areas of the east. Officials say residents in areas that are prone to earthquakes should identify a safe place for shelter, secure heavy or tall furniture to walls and know how to turn off gas and water supply valves." Hard Left Egypt Warns of Muslim Brotherhood Organizations in U.S. 01/14/15 Obama is the Muslim Brotherhood in America. He has done everything to promote this terrorist group in America and the Middle East. I believe what he is doing is treason as the Muslim Brotherhood wants to overthrow the Constitution. The United Arab Emirates has made similar statements and the U.S. Justice Department has confirmed the existence of a Muslim Brotherhood branch in America. The Egyptian government’s State Information Service has an entire section devoted to documenting the violence and terrorism of the Muslim Brotherhood. Egypt is furious with the U.S. for its stance on the Brotherhood. President El-Sisi told the Washington Post in December 2013, then as Defense Minister, that the U.S. has turned its back on Egypt and is misunderstanding the Islamist group. The documentation includes a timeline  of violence perpetrated by Brotherhood members since July 2014, a statement from the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood condemning the Brotherhood’s exploitation of children, and  many videos documenting the Brotherhood’s extremism and the justifications for overthrowing it and banning it. Most importantly, the section prominently features an article about the Muslim Brotherhood operating in America and influencing U.S. policy through various fronts. It cites a study done by the Ibn Khaldoun Center for Development Studies, a highly-respected organization in Cairo." Hezbollah must attack or they look weak, which is a disgrace to them. Israel seems ready for the war and is telling Hezbollah this. Nasrallah: Hezbollah ready for war beyond Galilee 01/15/15 In the coming war, Israel will totally destroy Hezbullah. The Israelis already warned of this. This is going to be a brutal war. "We have weapons that can bring us a victory against any type of Israeli aggression," he said. "Hezbollah's fighting ability was not harmed and if Israel relies on such, it is making a huge mistake." Canary in the coal mine 01/15/15 Before both WW1 and WW2, Europe was aflame with anti-Jew hatred. I believe what we see now is the prelude to WW3. Financial Armageddon Fallout From Swiss Move Hits Banks, Brokers 01/16/15 The world financial markets were rocked last week with tremendous losses by banks. This shows how weak the euro is. "The losses were triggered by the Swiss franc’s 30% jump against the euro in the minutes after the SNB scrapped its cap on the nation’s currency relative to the euro. Brokers found themselves unable to trade because of the unexpected volatility and the fact that some big banks stopped quoting rates for francs. Their customers’ huge losses, partly fueled by large quantities of leverage, which allows clients to stake large sums with relatively little cash, quickly eroded the brokerages’ financial cushions, tipping some into insolvency." What In The World Just Happened In Switzerland? 01/15/15 This is just the beginning of what is coming this year. "Central banks lie.  That is what they do.  Not too long ago, the Swiss National Bank promised that it would defend the euro/Swiss franc currency peg with the “utmost determination”.  But on Thursday, the central bank shocked the financial world by abruptly abandoning it.  More than three years ago, the Swiss National Bank announced that it would not allow the Swiss franc to fall below 1.20 to the euro, and it has spent a mountain of money defending that peg.  But now that it looks like the EU is going to launch a very robust quantitative easing program, the Swiss National Bank has thrown in the towel.  It was simply going to cost way too much to continue to defend the currency floor.  So now there is panic all over Europe.  On Thursday, the Swiss franc rose a staggering 30 percent against the euro, and the Swiss stock market plunged by 10 percent.
