Dear Readers and Friends,
I have a bad habit of getting up too early in the morning but I feel that I have slept enough after 8 or more hours and just don't believe in wasting a good day if I am able and healthy. My dear wife needs more time to rest with her bad, aching back and so we seem to get along fine. I remember asking her about her line of employment when I first met her on-line, and she was in the health/ care industry, taking care of the infirm, elderly folks. So I told her that it would please me so much if I could be her only client and I would also "retire" her, for with and pay her well, a lot more than she earned before she met me. She does all the things now that she used to do in her own old home many miles away and so it's not too much of a change for her, but I worry about her hurtful, aching back... but there is not much we can do for her except bring her to her fav. doctor for spinal injection treatments, etc. Many people have said that I have "magic fingers" and have also studied the art of massage therapy and a little chiropractic after reading books and talking to health care professionals. After all, the definition of an expert is: 'Someone who knows everything there IS to know about ONE, SET, SUBJECT.' And so we, so-called common people can get to be experts in several areas with multiple skill sets. Many years ago I wanted to be a "Master of one Trade, or expertise." But now days survivalists claim that we need a bunch of skills to survive in any modern day crisis, and so that is where I see myself now. Why limit ourselves to just one or two favorite skills, or even professions?
And I remember one favorite English teacher in high school, Mr. Joe Kaster, who said that, 'a person can never really be said to be thoroughly educated without a basic knowledge of the Bible.' And I wonder how can most people be so LAZY so as to never even pick up that BOOK to read a few of the 66 books that make it so complete, wonderful and life/ soul saving. Ha! I gave up on 'saving the world.' Now days, my energy level just allows me to encourage as many human beings as I can via my modest, so humble blog, but also word of mouth thru every day mixing with the public and VA hospital visits, etc. And just what the heck is a blog ?? Go check it out:
Blog - Wikipedia
- en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blog
- A blog (a truncation of "weblog") is a discussion or informational website published on the World Wide Web consisting of discrete, often informal diary-style text entries (posts). Posts are typically displayed in reverse chronological order, so that the most recent post appears first, at the top of the web page. Until 2009, blogs were usually the work of a single individual, [citation needed ...
- One hears the term 'blog' on television, during meetings, seminars, social gatherings, etc. and even land up on blogs while surfing the internet. However, what is a blog and how does it work? Blogs are types of websites with writings published in the form of posts by one author. They appear in chronological order and are extremely easy to create and operate.
And on the topic of haircuts and grooming, I swear that I will never go to the barber in Iron Mountain, MI., who last butchered my hair and beard-- 2 days ago and charged me $20! He must have been a sheep shearer in his last life... duh. My hair and beard will surely grow back, but I have to suffer the indignity of walking around half 'naked' now for a few weeks or what ever. If I had that 'barber's name' I would publish it now, but I know that he will never see me nor my money again. Ha! When I asked him for a "trim" I don't know what he was thinking of but he really messed me up! But my wife says that she likes it this way... so maybe I look like a lost puppy dog... but probably a lost OLD dog who got caught in a buzz saw, at best... ha! All I know is that I am wearing a cap most of the time.
The weather where we live in the frozen North is so cold today, [and down of zero degrees, yesterday, but Feb. is our coldest month albeit the shortest month and Spring is just a few months away with all of it's beautiful splendor.
Pray that our good President can protect the USA from the evils of that Coronavirus that is ravaging China and other places. And it could also mess up our economy and that of the whole world, IMHO. Because the whole world is tied together economically, with trade and business. Pray that we can somehow contain that disease. But you see, dear friends and readers... what IF million catch that virus and die... without knowing our Savior Jesus Christ? That would be a supreme, sad, shame! And if we insisted on remaining super, woefully IGNORANT of human CONVERSATION, and also emailing, writing, how else could we share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and salvation thru only the merits of His ransom blood sacrifice on the cross? All I can say today is: Be not afraid to speak, talk, share, help others by encouraging them to read and study the books of the Gospel and Romans, etc. in the Bible, now! I promise that it will never hurt you. But let it open your eyes. Pray before and after you read those special books of the Bible and allow the Holy Spirit to give you insight and to open your heart.
Warm Regard,
Tom Schuckman
